FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
Fate made the choice for me.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common type of move we do is a full service move, where we move one of our clients from one residence to another residence. This includes us loading, driving, and unloading their possessions. Sometimes this involves packing. Either loading by itself or unloading by itself would be our second most common type. This is where a client moves to the area and only needs us to unload the items into their new residence or storage unit or when a client is leaving the area and is moving faraway and has us load their goods in a truck or shipping container.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Finding a good mover is like trying to find a good mechanic. It can be very difficult. Cut through all the superfluous promises on advertisements and other marketing venues and forums.- From my experience in the moving business out of 10 moving companies 4 will be at or above average. It doesn't matter who you talk to on the phone and how sweet and nice they sound, it doesn't matter how pretty the storefront is, at the end of the day it boils down to the actual person doing the work and their skills/abilities, and their willingness to work hard. As a customer, ask the man or woman on the phone who is coming to do your job and what you can expect.
