I usually do not write reviews however, I truly feel the need to share the AMAZING experience I had hiring Joyful Times Events. In the past, I have always planned my own parties with plenty of time to do everything myself. Well, this time was a little different, it was a last minute idea and I had less than a week to do it. So to say I was overwhelmed, not only my ideas for the type of party I wanted, trying to make it perfect and being up against an extremely short time frame to pull it all together was an huge understatement.
I contacted Thumbtack and received a response from Joyful Times immediately. I didnt want to just use the first event planner that contacted me, even though I was in such a hurry, so I waited a little bit till I had more replies. I began to receive the other responses from event planners but they were very generic and gave me a basic hourly price without even asking me any questions about what I wanted or the ideas I had....
( Im not sure how a company can quote a price on a party without knowing exactly what I wanted or even speaking to me but I have never used an event planner before, so what do I know
maybe thats the way its done.)
Right from the beginning, Joys email reply to me was not only professional, but very personable. She asked me questions, was willing to meet with me immediately and work around my schedule. Joy wanted to know my expectations and budget. Joy completely understood that everything needed to be done yesterday. Right from the beginning she stood out from the rest of the crowd
I did not get a basic $65.00 per hour reply
. $65.00 for what?? I had no clue what they were quoting me on and Im positive they had no clue what I was looking for because they never asked.
It seemed like Joy just dropped everything for me and suddenly, MY party became the most important event to her also. At 7:30 am the next morning, this bubbly, happy and obvious morning person came bouncing into my house with a huge smile and bagels
yessss, she came to my house and even brought bagels.
As we sat down and began discussing the party, Im not sure who was more excited. Her enthusiasm was absolutely engulfing as she began to tell me about her ideas after listening to my thoughts and desires.
Every phone call I made to Joy, she answered with such a cheerful and happy attitude. I kept thinking, something has to go wrong, all of this is just going to smoothly
it CANT be this easy!!!! Well, for Joy it was easy, she is a natural. She loves what she does and it shows.
My party went off without a hitch and I received rave reviews from my friends. I must say, as much as I love throwing a party and doing it all myself
. Those days are gone. Joyful Times Event will plan all of my parties in the future. I still cant believe that she pulled it off. One phone call and meeting with her solved my problem and she did it all with what Im sure only appeared effortless and with ease. If any problem arose, I certainly did not hear about it, Joy handled everything making sure that my only concern was with concentrating on having fun with my friends.
The food??? Oh my goodness, I cant say enough about it
. It was AMAZING
..Im still craving her wonderful and unique hors doeuvres (My mouth is starting to water just thinking about them). The presentation left you breathless and was quite the talk of the party. I must say, everyone was so impressed. Each and every one of the handmade hors doeuvres were a work of art, we really hated to eat them and take away from the visual beauty they displayed.
I cannot stress enough how happy you will be hiring Joyful Times Events to plan your next party. Im sure your party will be so memorable that Joy will be your go to person for all your future events.
Joy truly makes you feel like you are her only client. Joy made the planning so much fun and enjoyable. Im not sure which was better, the laughter and fun I had planning the party with Joy or the actual party itself. I can promise you, from the moment you meet with Joy, you will feel as if you found a new best friend to help you plan your special event.
