Kendrick was my Brazilian Ju Jitsu instructor for a year or so, when I dabbled and he is one of the best instructors that I've ever had the privilege of learning from. I have 25yrs in the martial arts and hold a 2nd degree black belt in Bando, so I've had my fair share of instructors during that time. Ken's knowledge of BJJ was impressive, but what I found more impressive was his ability to break down every part of the technique in a simple manner, making it easy for the whole class to follow along. He took as much time as necessary to make sure everyone learned the technique, not because it was the lesson for the moment, but because he wanted everyone to be able to defend themselves. I cannot recommend Ken highly enough as an inductor, in any capacity. If he's teaching, you WILL learn!

I booked several private training session with Miguel and it was life changing. It is life changing because he incorporates affective training regiments and you can see and feel results. Having a professional boxer giving you private lessons is a bonus because Miguel does have real combat experiences and he is not afraid to share it with his clients. Not only you're getting boxing lessons, but you're also getting secret training exercise he does when he prepares for his fights. Overall, I trust his work because of his experiences and I feel like he's one of the best choice for a private personal training session.

This experience made me so much better as a person and everything went well. At first I didn't know what was going to be the outcome of our group sessions. After our first one I knew that it was going to be great. I can't wait for the group sessions to return to hear everyone's news, ideas, and opinions. The group has such a positive impact on me. They inspire, motivate, encourage, and uplift me in so many ways. And this outstanding expierence was given to us by our amazing life coach Sherry Bynes. I love her and what she does. I believe she needs her own show, it can really impact the young kids even older and some adults in society today. We still have an opinion, a voice, and dreams that we want to manifest. Sometimes it take for somone like Mrs.Bynes to come into your life and want to help you better yourself.

I have had Judo and martial arts training with Jon Paul during the past three years in Miami. I have found Jon Paul to be an excellent trainer, very flexible and adaptable to people of different age groups, fitness level, and backgrounds. I recommend Jon wholeheartedly not only for martial arts training, but based on his qualifications and educational level, I would also recommend him for other fitness type of training, such as health related conditioning and strength, weight loss, body toning, muscle growth, or training for sports specific activities. I first met Sensei Barry Stephen when he was instructing at FAU 9 years ago. I have been with him ever since. I have lost 50 Ib. I have been receiving Karate, Brazilian Jujitsu, and Kickboxing lessons from him. I am about to be tested for my Black Belt. I have a Black Belt in Judo and KAJUKENBO, however, I consider receiving a Black Belt from Sensei Stephen to be the most important and the most valuable part of my martial art journey. He is a very knowledgeable and humbled man. He has been a friend and a mentor to me. I value him above and beyond. Sensei, thank you for all that you have done for me. Love, Cyrus.

Schedules are as follows: Adults: Everyday, except Saturday Children: M, W, F Tots: Saturdays, 12 pm Aikido is a self-defense, non-competitive martial art that emphasizes blending with an opponent's attack. The movements are designed to coordinate the defending and attacking bodies in order to redirect the natural flow and energy of the attack and neutralize it. In this way, aikido harmonizes all motion in a positive way instead of trying to conflict with it. A basic premise of aikido is that the mind, body, and spirit must act together. The philosophy, ideals, and ethics of aikido are inseparable from the actual physical training. In order to lead another person into circular motion, we must first be in control of ourselves and be the stable, energized center. Aikido is a multidimensional martial training system. Students gain a deeper knowledge of many aspects of themselves physically, mentally, and emotionally. Some of the physical benefits are: improved coordination, increased strength, greater stamina, increased flexibility, better posture and balance, and improved overall cardiovascular fitness. Aikido techniques also facilitate concentration, develop sensitivity, and promote relaxation. Through serious aikido training, one develops the ability to respond positively to stressful situations. As one's awareness and focusing ability is enhanced, balance and calmness are easier to attain and maintain. Training in aikido helps nurture a strong, yet supple and relaxed, body as well as a calm, clear mind. At Gold Coast Aikikai, we recognize the importance of incorporating daily training and forming daily habits for developing physical, mental, and emotional discipline throughout one's life. Our school offers aikido classes for adults and children. We promote a healthy lifestyle and encourage a family-like atmosphere while teaching important skills for self-defense training.
