Melissa worked with me very closely, taking careful notes and listening to my comments. Each session was custom-designed in length and content. I was instructed which equipment to purchase--a neck pillow, small ball, tube. She tailored all the exercises to my physical limitations, improving my strength, energy, and ability to perform them. She was extremely professional, yet friendly--always prompt, and she always called or texted to remind me of my lessons. Melissa even lent me some equipment to use for several weeks until I no longer needed them. I received sheets to take home with me to do as "homework". In addition, Melissa photographed me on my iphone while I performed the moves correctly. She pushed me, but not to the point of pain, which I appreciated. After attending a workshop, she incorporated some new moves which worked for me. Perhaps more Pilates or yoga moves, if appropriate, would be some additional ideas for when I next am in need of some new exercises.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Check credentials of certifications, Nationally Certified is the best. Experience is key, inquire on how many years they have been a certified trainer. Make sure that their expertise matches what you are looking for. You don't want to hire a trainer that's niche is body building if you want general health, fitness and strengthening. All trainers should perform a thorough health and fitness assessment, it is key to program creation .
