How do I find someone to fix my sprinkler system?

You can find a sprinkler repair professional by conducting a little bit of online research. This gives you access to their ratings and customer reviews. Some customers will even submit photos of their sprinkler systems that were fixed by the pros. But before you hire a professional, contact them. Ask them questions about their expertise, tell them about your sprinkler problem and request free cost estimates.

How do I increase water pressure in my lawn sprinklers?

Figure out why your sprinkler has low water pressure and determine if you need to make any repairs. There could be an issue with the valve, a leak or the sprinkler heads may need cleaning. If the water pressure is low in your house as well (check your water pressure regulator), the problem may be with the municipal water supply.

Why won’t my sprinklers pop up?

Several problems can prevent sprinkler heads from popping up. For example, here are a few possible culprits:

  • The valve is partially closed.
  • There’s dirt, sand or debris between the sprinkler’s cap and riser.
  • There's low water pressure.
  • There are leaks in the water line.

Contact a pro to help you diagnose the problem and repair it.

Why is one sprinkler zone not working?

One sprinkler zone could be malfunctioning for several reasons, although the most obvious one — a closed valve — is often the culprit. Check to see if the main system valve is closed. It’s easy to forget to turn this back on after repairs. Other causes for failed sprinkler zones are electrical issues within the valve, timer, wiring or solenoid. A common reason is a bad connection that needs to be re-soldered.

I initially contacted Anthony because of what I expected was a broken sprinkler line under my sidewalk. Anthony discovered the problem was different from this, and was able to fix it right away. He then inspected the rest of my system, and found a number of other issues. One of the largest issues had to do with a broken line I wasn’t even aware of, because of very, very large tree roots. He returned for a second visit and worked very hard to cut away tree roots, and used a flexible line to repair the sprinkler in that area! He finished by filling in the hole and covering it with extra dirt, knowing it would settle down some after time. Now my system is working perfectly! He did a great job!

Sprinkler system stopped working. Bruce responded to my project post in less than an hour. We agreed on a date and a time. He called the morning of the appointment to ask if he should come because of the weather conditions and was told to come. He called again to say that he would be about 10 minutes late. He quickly determined that the pressure switch had failed and that the rain delay sensor needed to be replaced. He left to get the parts and returned to complete the repairs. He inspected the entire system and found that the electrical wires to the valve heads were not installed properly which he fixed. Two sprinkler heads were replaced. The system was tested and adjusted. Bruce is competent, honest, efficient, and the price for his work is fair. The only issue is that he does not currently accept credit cards or PayPal for payment. I gave him 5 stars.
