I hired Derek because it is hard to find a balanced trainer with 20 years of experience with multiple training strategys and licences. If you want a trainer to listen to your needs and work with you to build a long term strategy he is your guy. Derek is awesome and I had an enjoyable experience. By no fault of his i had to stop training which i really didn't want to do but life happened. He has helped more than he probably knows. I have a bad back and for me to not be in pain for the months i was working with him was amazing.I have been in pain for about 7 years i don't do medicine because i hate them so i suffer but with his help i didn't need it. I have taken his teachings and currently doing them at home. Well all the ones i can do without weights and such. I have recommended others to him because of the great stuff he does. Now some background I am a 28 year old banged up Keeper from Soccer. I have too many surgeries and other issues from playing. So for me picking someone is always a challenge because most trainers don't know how to do deal with a broken person. Derek does he doesn't care if your broken, in perfect shape or just there because you need guidance he will help you. He is great with all of his customers and the people around him from what I have seen. Again i would highly recommend him. My goal was to be healthy, not lose weight or gain muscle just be healthy and not in pain. I achieved that and i also gained muscle and lost weight as a side benefit. No amount of words can really express how glad I am that Derek responded when i was looking. If you are undecided on someone hopefully this review explains why you want to pick him. - What is your typical process for working with a new customer?We start with a free consultation with the client to develope the proper program that is best for the client depending on what their fitness goals are. We then get the proper workout and nutrition program that suits what the clients goals are. Then implement the plan of action.
