- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always offer a free trial class in order to evaluate my students level and needs and I think it is the best way to find out how is my classes and my methodology. The news students just win having a trial class because at least they can learn a little bit Portuguese. I always recommend new students to have trial classes with different teachers, face-to-face or via Skype. And it is good for me, because I have the opportunity to show my work and because they always come back to have Portuguese classes with me. It is a win win.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Portuguese teacher for foreigners since 2000. I have studied Portuguese in a Brazilian University and I have a Master degree in Linguistics. I have wrote some books for Portuguese lessons and I am an expert trainer for new Portuguese teachers. Some people think that any Brazilian can teach Portuguese and it is not true. They need to specialize themselves in order to be a good Portuguese tutor for foreigner and I train them, I teach them how to teach foreigners a new language. Sometimes students hire cheap and inexperienced teacher and just waste time and money because they don't learn. I have been doing this all my life and Iam really good. All my students really enjoy the classes and learn.
