- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
$25/hour studio time (recording & mixing) $60 lease beats (1000 copies) $80 premium lease beats (5000 copies) $100 custom lease beats (1000 copies) $120 custom premium lease beats (5000 copies) $250 custom beats (exclusive rights)
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Well before the session even begins, the work starts when the engineer gets to know the you. It is very important that everyone is comfortable working with each other. If we are recording vocals we talk about the music you normally create and the type of recording environment that you are used to. If we are making Beats we spend time listening to some music to find the general sound you are looking for. The creative process takes as long as you need it to, adding at least an hour or two depending on the complexity of the piece for the engineer to mix and master the project. You will receive a CD and/or an email containing what you created during your session!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Slim is a student at Berklee School of Music with over a decade of classical music training. On the Avid Training Course, Slim has a thorough understanding of the building blocks of music and pro tools' digital advances.
