FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I do this as a part-time venture, while I go to school. I used to make a living doing this, and I would charge much more, but due to my availability I reduced my prices do alleviate my hectic schedule. $30 an hour is my flat rate for one person.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to start off with an initial conversation about why they want to learn or do martial arts. We try to narrow down and hone in on some short term goals, with the big picture in mind. It also serves as an icebreaker to establish a relationship between trainer and trainee. Probably the most important part of the whole process in my opinion, it sort of sets a precedence.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have trained at several top martial art gyms throughout South Florida, and I have worked at a few of them as well. I have been involved with the scene for over 10 years. My formal education is in Economics, and now I am in Grad school for Analytics. I think my college education gives be an edge in the way I teach self-defense and martial arts. I focus on parts of the instruction that most often get overlooked. Would love to discuss this further with anyone that has questions.
