Introduction: I enjoy providing my customers with outstanding customer service and it shows during throughout our relationship. I like to think of my clients as friends and some as family and get the best rates and service for them as I am a consumer, I know how difficult it is to find the right product for the right price. I enjoy the satisfaction of knowing my clients had good service during the booking and during their stay and when they come home and write me with all the excitement and info I too get excited. I am a business owner who has to plan incentive trips for our company. This involves selecting a location which must satisfy a cross section of interests, group travel from multiple locations, and an awareness of a budget. I need information which is specific to each. I need someone who has experience, and "on site knowledge". I have learned what you see on the internet, is not always what you find at the location. I look for someone to fill in the blanks from the pretty pictures you find on-line, to what is "really" there. When you are allocating significant amounts of money for a destination, you do not want to be in the position of "what you bought -is not what you thought." Many travel companies are now filled with people who have never traveled, and have no idea of the details associated with group, or specific individual travel needs. They have not been to the locations, or understand the differences between the types of hotels and resorts, islands or countries, airlines or transfers which are available. You want a company who can deliver a turnkey package to you, and be there to support you before, during and after the event. I do not want to waste my money or time on bad travel plans, I want to get there, and be happy. I am well traveled and has been dissapointed before of previous selections, and try to avoid that mistake. That is why I look to a partner to help me on my travel needs. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
no service fees, I am paid after you travel by the supplier so essentially I am working for free, I don't get paid if you cancel and I don't get paid if you don't book with me!
How did you get started doing this type of work?
Have always been in the hospitality/service industries so being a travel professional came easy. I am not a sales person so I won't try to upsell you or lead you astray. I can only speak confidently about my own experiences and destinations but will do the research to service the destinations I haven't been.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
google is one of your most powerful tools search your agent to find out more about them, also try the BBB website. Timely responses, friendly and helpful agents are a plus, will they go the extra mile on your behalf and be sure you are getting all the services in one place.
