I had a great experience with Yonier. I hired him to fix an issue with my water heater (it was tripping my breaker). I'm going to make this long ordeal relatively short. During the initial visit, Yonier determined the water heater was a lemon. My water heater is less than a year old. After contacting Rheem, the rep refused to accept the fact that the water heater was a lemon. So, the rep at Rheem had Yonier run some additional tests and the Rheem rep determined that the thermostat was damaged. (Someone who reads a script from a computer screen supposedly knows more than an electrician, apparently.) Yonier was very patient and kind enough to go through this process. I commend him because I considered his diagnosis more reliable than Rheem.
Well, fast forward a few days... New thermostat arrives and I asked Yonier to come out to install it. Guess, what? The water heater was STILL not working and still tripping the breaker. Surprised, right? This was definitely no fault of Yonier. This was the fault of the manufacturer--Rheem's inability to acknowledge that they sold a poor quality water heater.
Yonier patiently waited for me to contact Rheem AGAIN and wait on hold. Yonier explained the issue to the rep and after much back and forth, Rheem finally decided to replace the water heater. I'm grateful that he was willing to stick around to explain the issue ONCE AGAIN to Rheem--that the water heater was a lemon.
Yonier was VERY, VERY, VERY patient and very reliable. My initial request was on a Sunday (and we all know how difficult it is to find a contractor, especially an electrician, to respond on a Sunday). He showed up both days in a timely fashion and worked diligently to figure out the issue. Although the water heater issue was beyond Yonier's control, I appreciate the time and effort he spent in pinpointing and explaining the issue. Without him, I would not have been able to get Rheem to replace their faulty item. I did have him perform another job for me (outlet work). That job was clean and quick. He is reasonably priced.
