AWESOME! To start, Mark was very responsive to my thumbtack request for upholstery cleaning - while onsite to complete the upholstery cleaning, not only did he do a great job and all the furniture turned out wonderful but he also was able to provide me quotes for quick turnaround service for painting additional rooms and full tile/grout cleaning of my entire house. He and Mike were able to complete the job in a short requested time period and the results were fantastic. Money very well spent! Would recommend them to anyone looking for quick cleaning services.

Steve cleaned several pieces of upholstered furniture for us. He treated the stained areas and we are extreme pleased with the results. Two area rugs were in the same room where he was cleaning so he cleaned those at no additional charge. His prices were reasonable, he was friendly, on time and expedient. I would definitely use him again.

At Southwest Chem Dry, we use the latest technology available for all of your carpet and upholstery cleaning needs, including certified green and dry carpet cleaning. Our technicians are fully trained, uniformed, and always maintain the most professional appearance. We are licensed, bonded and fully insured for carpet and upholstery cleaning.

We are clean, green and dry! How does it work? At One Minute Dry Time, our green carpet cleaning method utilizes organic sponges to get your carpeting and upholstery cleaner than you have ever had it. This 100% organic compound has a moisture content equal to one teaspoon per square foot once it is applied to carpet surface. This moisture content is citrus, which is one of the best degreasers out there. Why do you need a degreaser? More than 90% of the content on your traffic areas is built-up embedded oils, whether it is natural oils from walking on bare feet, or using shoes in the home that are also used out doors. Our certified carpet care specialist follows the following process: * Pre-Step - Our certified carpet care specialists prep the area for cleaning by moving some or all furniture based on your request and/or our recommendation. * Step 1 - Our certified carpet care specialist applies a special pre-spray to all spots and stains as well as all of your heavy traffic areas. * Step 2 - While the pre-spray is working, our certified carpet care specialist then applies our dry and organic carpet cleaning compound. * Step 3 - Our certified carpet cleaning specialist then uses our dry carpet cleaning machine to gently massage the sponges up and down all the carpet fibers. This begins exfoliating the carpet fibers to naturally release the soil, oils, pet allergens, bacteria, mold, mold spores, dust mites, and spots which are then absorbed into the sponges. We make at least 2 passes in each area to ensure the most thorough and healthy cleaning. * Step 4 - Our certified carpet care specialist finishes by turning on the vacuum portion of the machine and repeating the same two or more opposite passes that were made during the cleaning process. This removes the organic sponges after they finished doing their job. * Results - Your traffic areas are now brought back to life. Spots that were removed never come back ever. Our system really works! Plus, with organic dry carpet cleaning system, your investment will last longer. Organic dry carpet cleaning system has been healthiest and cleanest than it has ever been! Check out our video on our home page for a free video demonstration! Seeing is believing. Wool, cotton, sisal and oriental area rugs, we can clean it! Don't take your natural fiber area rugs to your neighborhood dry cleaning store. Our organic carpet cleaning system is perfect for cleaning your natural fiber carpets including wool, cotton, sisal and oriental area rugs right in your own home! One Minute Dry Time's green carpet cleaning uses the only full system with the stamp of approval from the International Woolsafe Organization. For sythetic fibers, our natural cleaning is very similar, except that our certified carpet cleaning specialists will apply our organic sponges liberally, and not use any pre-sprays unless it is absolutely necessary. All of our pre-sprays are safe for wool, but we like to keep moisture to an absolute minimum. For your upholstery, do you have a dry-clean-only or shampoo-based fabric? There are many different types of fabric out there, and because of this there are different types of cleaning methods. The first and most popular method of cleaning is shampoo-based, and second is the dry cleaning method, which uses a solvent. Most people do not know the difference, and which type of carpeting they have, and which type of cleaning method they should use! Our certified upholstery specialist uses a state-of-the-art system capable of cleaning both shampoo and dry-clean-only fabrics. Don't forget, having your upholstery cleaned at least 2 times per year creates a healthier home! We spend a good amount of time searching and going from show room to show room in order to find just the right furniture for our homes. You may have even hired and paid for the experience of an interior designer to come and furnish the interior of your home for you. In the end, this is an investment that you want to last. All too often, people wait years before they have their upholstery cleaned. This has an adverse affect on the fabric and the health of your home. Your upholstery, like carpet, assists in filtering out fine particles and pollutants from the air. It will also collect and hold on to a portion of the 13-15 pounds of skin every person in your home sheds per year. This is now a habitat for dust mites. As the upholstery is used, natural oils from your skin and hair soak into the fabric. You can also include natural oils from pets, if you have them. Waiting until these areas are very dark is waiting too long. This is damaging to the fabric of your upholstery, and is a breeding ground for bacteria and germs. Like any filter, it must be cleaned on a scheduled maintenance. The particles, pollutants, and dust mites all have adverse affects on our health. Whether it is immediate or from long term exposure, these should be removed from your upholstery. The oils that have built up over time in and on the surface of your upholstery are a breeding ground for bacteria and germs; These need to be removed too! You will have peace of mind having your upholstery cleaned with One Minute Dry Time green carpet cleaning, and our state-of-the-art upholstery cleaning system. You will be cleaning an air filter, or what we call a health filter. Letting us clean your upholstery and carpets will create a healthier indoor environment for you and your family, as well as, prolong the life and beauty of your investment. We use the terminator to professionally clean tile and grout! Tile and grout cleaning is a very important part of the maintenance of your home. Most people neglect this, and do not realize the build up that has occurred over the years. This is not healthy for you, your family and your pets. Our certified tile and grout cleaning specialists will remove all furniture from the area to be cleaned, and then using a pump sprayer, apply our special alkaline-based cleaned solution to the grout and tile surface. Once the cleaning solution has had time to do its job, our specialists will begin the cleaning process using the terminator cleaning system that produces over 1,000psi of water pressure. Using specialized attachments for this sytem, the specialists will power wash your tile and grout. While your tile and grout is being super cleaned, the same equipment and attachments vacuum up the water simultaneously. The only moisture left behind is then towel dried. Now that the cleaning process is complete and dry, your tile is now clean and ready to be sealed. Each grout line is individually sealed, protecting the beauty and life of your tile and grout.

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

    What is upholstery cleaning?

From your carpets to your drapes to your furniture, all fabrics need to be cleaned. Cleaning upholstery, or the fabric on your furniture, removes the dirt and oils that are transferred to couches and chairs through regular use. Because furniture upholstery can be delicate and colors can fade easily, it’s often a good idea to let professional sofa cleaners handle the job. They’ll determine the type of fabric — usually cotton, linen, wool, suede or microfiber — and the appropriate method for cleaning it, either steam-cleaning or applying a dry-cleaning solvent. In general, cleaning an entire piece of furniture includes a pretreatment, cleaning, and neutralizing rinse to the body, plus removing and cleaning all cushions and cleaning all crevices.

An upholstery cleaner may clean the entire piece of furniture, on a regular schedule or by request, or do spot treatments to remove pet, food, drink, or oil and grease stains. Furniture can also be deodorized to remove the smell of pets or tobacco smoke. Furniture that’s used often, like that in your family room, should be cleaned once a year to keep it fresh and extend its life. Sofa cleaners often also offer repair services to mend tears in fabric or patch holes in leather.

How much does upholstery cleaning cost?

The cost to have your upholstered furniture cleaned depends mostly on two factors: the size of the furniture and the type of fabric. The national average cost of upholstery cleaning ranges from $120 to $150. Most people have multiple pieces cleaned at once, but sofa cleaners will come to your home for just one heavily soiled couch or to spot-treat stains. The smaller the furniture, the lower the cost: A lounge chair may cost an average of $50 to clean, while a couch costs an average of $135 and an L-shaped sectional costs an average of $190. Delicate materials such as antique fabrics or suede upholstery are more expensive to clean than sturdier ones. Having the sofa cleaner do repairs will also add to the cost. Repairs such as mending a tear in fabric or patching a hole in leather may be charged by the task or by the hour; in general, repairs cost an average of $15 each. Special or delicate fabrics may cost additional fees, too.

    Who cleans couches?

Even if your furniture doesn’t appear dirty or stained, your couches are collecting just as much dust, pollen, germs, pet hair and dander, and even food crumbs as your carpets. In general, the same professionals who clean your carpets and drapes can also clean your couches. Carpet cleaners usually offer upholstery cleaning services as well, and may offer a discount if you have your carpets cleaned at the same time. Alternatively, you can choose from a range of professional upholstery cleaners in your area who specialize in cleaning different types of upholstery fabrics, including delicate antique fabrics and other hard-to-clean materials such as suede. In addition to deep-cleaning the entire piece of furniture, sofa cleaners can spot-treat food, pet, and oil and grease stains. Most professionals also offer services to sanitize and deodorize your furniture and apply protectants to prevent future stains. As with carpets, experts recommend that you have your upholstered furniture cleaned once every year or two, depending on how much use it gets and whether you have children and pets.
