Introduction: Teaching isn't just a job for me. It's an aspect of myself that informs not just how I interact with people, but also how I see the world. At UCF, I am studying physics with a concentration in high energy/condensed matter physics; however, my first bachelor's degree is in fine arts, which I now use for freelance work in graphic design and web development. My background in the arts gives me a unique perspective when considering problems in mathematics and physics, and I believe my creative approach to these problems is what sets me apart from other tutors in the field. I like to take a visual approach to my explanations, starting at the most fundamental level and building up on it from there. I also have a firm grasp of the English language and can assist in the critical reading and writing sections of the SAT, writing and verbal sections of the GRE as well as English composition and ESL. I tutor many different programming languages as well. I have used PHP and Javascript professionally and Python as a part of my studies in the sciences. I have developed techniques for many subjects since I began tutoring in 2004. These include remedial mathematics, college algebra, geometry, trigonometry, precalculus, calculus, physics, chemistry and others. I can be very flexible in my availability and will try my very best to accommodate your schedule. I'm willing to travel within a 15-mile radius of the University of Central Florida. For any distance beyond that will be an extra $5 per 5 mile. My cancellation policy is 12 hours notification beforehand, though I am of course understanding of any extenuating circumstances or crisis situations. Tutoring is a most rewarding job, for both myself and my clients. It is a wonderfully transformative process, and one that I hope I get to share with you or your loved ones. I look forward to hearing from you!
