Excellent work and great people. Took measurements and provided a quote on the same day. I needed my kitchen sink cabinet and drywall repaired/replaced because of a leak. It now looks better than before the leak. I highly recommend their work and will hire again in the future.

I hired Petre for some kitchen cabinet rebuild and tile work. He was a professional from the very beginning and was always informing on what was going to accomplish each day. He showed up on time and had all the tools and knowledge to complete the work. His team was also very professional and they all worked very clean. I will definitely recommend him and will hire him again for my next project.

In less than two hours, Jared assembled a desk and file cabinet that would have taken us two days to complete. Jared arrived on time and his professionalism and courteousness are unsurpassed. We have asked him to complete a long list of items that will enable us to move into our newly purchased home. Thanks, Jared!

I cannot say enough about the high quality of John’s work. He is a meticulous and creative craftsman. We installed new granite countertop, but did not want to replace our 20 year old maple cabinets, which were still in good condition. John came up with creative ideas on trim and cabinet repairs to breathe new life into our old cabinets. He worked with us every step of the way, making suggestions for granite, sink, trim, etc. We were installing new impact windows at the same time and he worked with that installer to make sure granite on pass-through window fit properly. His ideas were great and the quality of his work was fantastic. He was friendly, professional, and meticulous even in the clean-up. For a very reasonable price, we have a fantastic new kitchen. Cannot praise his work enough.

I have been using them in many many occasions for all types of services. I own a 4 properties. Had never found anybody like them. There is never a problem they can't solve. The service provided is top notch and their professionalism is unmatched. They always try to make themselves available when you need. I call them my angels. I cannot recommend them enough!!! I have had Ikea furniture assembled. Kitchen cabinets assembled and hung, remodeling, painting, plumbing, electrical, re grouting of my floors (wow) , hanging tvs on walls, helping me with designing, switching light system to recessed and much more. The need for calling different people is over! Trust implicitly. You must experience their service to understand. They also stand behind whatever they do. Very very satisfied client. Alina

We could not be happier with the professionalism, price, and finished product that Rob Soto and his team created in our kitchen. He was responsible for the following components, - managing relationships with all subcontractors - demolishing the entire kitchen - placing new baseboards in the entire living space - placing down new tile floors in the kitchen - rerouting and installing new plumbing - building cabinetry - rewiring and installing new ceiling lighting - installing inside-and-underneath cabinet lighting - painting ceiling, walls - installing all appliances - placing back splash - adding any fixtures (like door handles) - any and all touch-ups ("DETAILS" - says Rob) We hired him not only based on his fair price, but his passion. You cannot work with a man who personally cares more about his product and his performance than he does. I met with many other contractors, and no one impressed me as much as Rob did. He works on his own schedule, however that is because he keeps himself very busy. Giving Rob the benefit of the doubt will never steer you wrong. He has amazing follow-through, attention to detail, and an eye for design. The type of work he does requires patience, and especially when you live in a small space like we do (i.e. Manhattan). I cannot recommend him enough. I am so happy with his work that we are going to hire him again when we do our bathroom next year. I can only hope he has the time and space or else I will have to settle for someone else!

The 5 star rating is well deserved and I would heartily recommend Kitchen Ready Cabinets to others. The timeline we agreed on was fulfilled and the guys were always on schedule. Never had to follow up and "chase" anyone, which I have experienced in past with many contractors - luckily this time I did not have to deal with that stress. Apart from that , the price and quality is unbeatable... I contacted several specialists for this job and I got the best value for money from Kitchen Ready Cabinets. I will sure be using this Company for all my future renovations as they also do closets, bathroom vanities, etc.

Jose did an excellent job with our cabinets. The work was good quality and done on time. The install took a bit longer than expected but he did not charge more and even came back to do some adjustments for us. Would definitely use again!

G&G Renovation was one of the 5 quotes I got from Thumbtack (One actually never showed up) and I felt really confident that they could get this job done after they came to the first appointment. I removed one wall on my kitchen to go with an open concept, added an Island and changed the tiles on the kitchen, dining room, living room and hallways and added some beautiful dark lacquer cabinets with a solid white quartz. I got to say I am in love with my kitchen and I’m glad I chose you guys to help this dream come true. The experience was smooth and my place was always as clean as it could be on the middle of the mass that my home was. All the inspections passed without any problem as far as I could tell and it took about 3 weeks to get the permits approved. I recommend G&G Renovation to anyone that wants to remodel their kitchen!

Amazing! I was hesitant about remodeling my kitchen only because I've heard horror stories about unfinished work - I heard about JVM through a neighbor and they far exceeded ALL of my expectations. From the initial estimate to the final outcome, JVM has been professional, detail-oriented and just amazing! They were on time and delivered everything they promised and more! The quality of their work is superb and they add an artistic flair I never expected to find in a small company! I had friends and family over for the holidays and my kitchen was the focus of my home. Thank you JVM for helping me create the kitchen imagined!

Joey and Joe are true professionals. We hired them to remodel our kitchen. They installed 12 cabinets, two countertops with sink, an over-the-range microwave, dishwasher, and crown molding on the cabinets and walls. We have a non-standard size kitchen with not-too-straight walls. They were very precise and made everything fit together perfectly. They have great attention to detail and are very responsive to questions. They went 'above and beyond' in providing finishing touches. The kitchen looks spectacular! They were on time, worked through the day, and cleaned up before they left. Their price was extremely reasonable. We plan to use them again soon for another project. We highly recommend them.

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

Do you tip cabinet installers?

In general, home service providers such as electricians, plumbers and contractors are professionals who don’t expect tips. They expect to do a job for you for the specific price they quoted. Of course, they may appreciate a tip for a job particularly well done or for which they’ve gone beyond what’s normally expected, such as completing the project early or under budget. Even better than a tip, it’s always appropriate to leave a positive review online after a good experience.

How much is custom cabinetry?

Custom cabinets can be built for any room, including bedroom closets and built-in armoires. Measured carefully and built precisely, custom cabinetry can increase storage and beautify any room. The national average for building custom cabinets ranges from $500 to $1,200 per linear foot. The cost is highly variable because there are so many styles, colors, glazes and other options. In general, the linear footage of the cabinets, the materials used to build them, and the cost of the labor will determine the cost. Solid wood costs more than plywood and wood veneer, and costs vary among different types of wood; maple and cherry cabinets are more expensive than pine. Glass-front cabinets can cost more, as can decorative hinges, handles and door pulls, which can cost $2-$45 each; choose carefully to stay within your budget and pull off the exact look you’re going for. Some carpenters also charge for installation, on average $100 per cabinet box. Additional molding and trim, such as crown molding at the ceiling, cost an average of $70 per 8-foot section, and adding finished ends to exposed cabinets averages $100-$200.

How much does it cost to have kitchen cabinets installed?

In any kitchen, the cabinets are the main focus, so you want to make sure new or replacement cabinets are installed correctly. A professional carpenter can properly, securely mount new cabinets to the wall; the national average cost for this service is $7,725, although the cost varies widely depending on the type of cabinets, their material and their size, and the accessories you add. A typical fee is $70 per linear foot to remove existing cabinets and assemble and install new ones; the cost is less if you do the demolition and removal yourself. Stock cabinets are the least expensive to have installed, ranging from $75 to $400 each; semi-custom cabinets range from $150 to $900 each; and custom cabinets cost from $500 to $1,400 each. Wood cabinets are more expensive than those made from plywood or medium-density fiberboard (MDF) and finished with a laminate. Wood cabinets range in cost from $80 to $160 per linear foot. Laminate-finished cabinets cost $35 to $75 per linear foot, on average.
