- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For a standard sized lot in this area (1/4 acre), we charge $25 per cut for lawn maintenance. Garden maintenance services, including weed control and trimming, are billed at $20 per hour. Design and installation is invoiced on a case by case basis.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Preferably, prior to conducting business, I meet a client in their yard and walk around with them. I want to get a feel for their likes and dislikes. Sometimes they only want me to maintain their existing landscape, and this is fine. However, design work is my favorite. I enjoy installing beautiful gardens that my customers can smile about. Maintenance on these gardens is a bonus.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in the gardening business my entire life. My parents owned a small nursery in Upstate New York during the 1990s. When I landed in South Florida, I knew what I had to do here. Over the past 17 years, I have learned about the tropics and the way plants and lawns grow here in Florida. Night and day, really. I am certified in the Green Industries Best Management Practices and the Limited Commercial Landscape Management courses.
