- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
In terms of interior design, talk with the designer about what kinds of ideas they would have for your personal style. Be courteous about not asking too many questions because this is what you are supposed to pay a fee for, and the designer is aware of this. Ask about whether they use one design center or the gamut. It's nice to be able to go to one design center, but sometimes those places have items that are readily available elsewhere for half the cost. If cost is not a concern of yours, let the designer know. If you have a strict budget based on available funds, a loan, of credit, make certain that you adhere to that budget so that there are no problems, and be sure to start your conversation with your designer disclosing your budget. Ask if the designer's fee is hourly based, or project based.
