I would recommend Amber anytime. She was prompt with responding to me. Her consultations was very thorough and she was not looking at the clock. I was discouraged about attorneys after an encounter with another attorney which was 15 minutes late for our 30 minute appointment and yet rushed me 7 minutes into our consultation. Thanks Amber for changing my perspective about attorneys and for helping me.

Michael reviews his cases seriously. There are a few attorneys that I have had experience with, who don't do their homework on their injury cases, and will "win" you a case. However, the outcome will be much lower than expected. After switching to Mr. Perenich halfway through my complicated case, I was very impressed with the updates, and communication that I received. Mr. Perenich negotiated a sum far larger than expected for me, even though I had to wait a bit longer for the outcome. His firm is professional, diligent, and genuinely cares for their clients. I found out about the firm through word of mouth, which I trust way more than advertisements. All in all, it was a huge improvement over the way I was treated by a certain big-name billboard attorney, who I won't name. Thank you!

I have used the Nightingale Law Firm for 2 cases as well as 1 case for my mother and have had nothing but the best experience with them. My first case and my mothers case were transferred to the Nightingale Law Firm from one of the larger billboard advertising law firms in the Clearwater area. They treated our cases as if they really could careless about us or even our case. They were very unorganized, kept requesting the same documents over and over....once I switched to Nightingale I only had to provide the information once and everything was taken care of after that. They are also very good at negotiating with the doctor's offices and insurance company to lower the amount of money you have to pay back for medical services rendered!! In my opinion this is one of the best Personal Injury law firms in the area who actually cares about you and the outcome of your case. They try to get as much money in your pocket as possible.

These guys are great. Brett handled my case much better then I could have ever asked for. He was always in direct contact with me every step of the way. They were able to get my case completely DISMISSED. These guys really care about each individual case not just claim to care to get another client. If you are looking for lawyers that are very professional with great communication and who get the job done Greater Tampa Law is the place to go.

I had been scheduled for surgery and realized, 4 business days prior, that in the event of something going wrong, I needed an updated will. After checking a few Thumbtack choices' on line reviews, and getting two loose estimates from a couple of them, I chose SmithLaw. SmithLaw was not the lowest priced option, but I liked the range of options Chris Smith offered to get done what I needed in the time I needed it, and how he was able to navigate a few special considerations my will had to comprehend. I signed the new will yesterday and went through my surgery today with perfect confidence that if unforeseen circumstances arise, my wishes and intents are clearly and lawfully set forth for my two beautiful children. I will absolutely bring any future legal needs to SmithLaw, and feel very comfortable about recommending them to anyone with similar needs in Florida. Thanks to Chris Smith and his wonderful team.

About

Welcome to Torrens Law Group, P.A.! The top five things that you need to know if you have been notified of foreclosure in Tampa Bay, Florida are the following: 1. You only have 20 calendar days to respond to a foreclosure lawsuit. If you do not respond within 20 calendar days of being served, you risk losing your case by default. 2. If you have been served with a foreclosure lawsuit, do not call the bank. Call a foreclosure defense lawyer. 3. Your written response to the lawsuit must raise legally sound defenses to the foreclosure or you can waive your defenses. Do not simply write a letter explaining your hardship. 4. There are defenses available to you besides payment. Banks are required to provide you with certain notices prior to suing you and the bank must prove it has the rights to the note. There are also certain certifications that must be in compliance with the law. There are other defenses available as well. Just like any other lawsuit, the bank must prove its case. A good foreclosure defense lawyer will make the bank prove its case. 5. If you have been served with foreclosure papers, you need to focus on the court case. Do not call the bank, and if you have already done so, do not listen to what they tell you. Remember: the bank is suing you. The bank is not your friend. Keep your focus on the litigation, which is what is taking place in court. This is how you fight the bank and keep you and your family in your home. The folks at the bank do not understand litigation and are not lawyers. How can our firm help you? Our foreclosure attorney will file all the necessary paperwork relevant to your case. We will research available government aid programs on your behalf, such as government-sponsored loan modification programs. We will deal with the creditors. The attorney will schedule a foreclosure consultation. We understand your situation, and we will provide the best course of action. Torrens Law Group, P.A. is prepared to provide expert legal assistance. We will evaluate your entire financial situation and your goals to determine the best solution for you. The facts of each case are different and clients have different goals. We will narrowly tailor our work to accomplish your specific goals. If you are interested in pursuing a loan modification, we can advise you as to whether you are a good candidate for a modification. If so, we will assist you in attempting to obtain a loan modification and save your home.

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What is a personal injury lawyer?

A personal injury lawyer fights on your behalf if you’ve been injured physically, psychologically, economically or in reputation. This injury may be the result of neglect or malicious intent of another person, or it could be at the hands of a business, government or other entity. Personal injury lawyers specialize in tort law, which is the law of civil wrongs like car accidents, company wrongdoing, unlawful imprisonment and more.

To become qualified to be a personal injury lawyer in the United States, a person must earn a bachelor’s degree, followed by a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from a law school. Most states then require the person to pass the bar exam to become licensed to practice law. Unlike many attorneys who require a retainer, personal injury lawyers often work on contingency fees. This means that in lieu of payment upfront, they receive an agreed-upon percentage of the settlement in case of a win.

What should you look for in a personal injury lawyer?

A personal injury lawyer will advocate for your legal rights if you’ve been hurt in an accident at work or in daily life, have suffered from medical malpractice, or are struggling to have your insurance carrier cover your needs. It may be helpful to talk with two or three lawyers before selecting one. When looking for a personal injury lawyer, research their reviews and make sure former clients have had good experiences with them. Next, make sure the personal injury lawyer has experience and proven success winning cases similar to yours. Confirm that the lawyer is licensed to provide services in your state. When you find a qualified personal injury lawyer with whom you want to work, freely discuss payment and fees before any work begins. Most lawyers offer a free consultation to learn what your case is about and explain their rates. Personal injury attorneys typically receive a percentage of your settlement (called a contingency fee), so they are paid after the trial or case is complete. Keep in mind that some attorneys have fees that you must pay even if you don’t win your trial. It’s important to understand these details before work begins so you don’t have any unhappy surprises later. Lastly, it’s wise to choose a personal injury lawyer that you have confidence in and with whom you can communicate openly and honestly.
