I initially sought treatment from Emma for chronic bursitis in my leg that was interfering with my daily activities. I had previously been treated for this condition in the US with various degrees of success prior to moving to El Valle de Añton, Panama but was told that acupuncture probably wouldnt help. Well, I am happy to report that for the past year I have received treatments from Emma with excellent results. My previous experience with acupuncture in the US was with Practitioners not grounded in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Emmas approach in taking a very detailed medical history and spending time researching my specific issues to develop a program for me using the modalities that are part of TCM is what I feel has made the difference. Each session begins with a review of what issues were last treated and what the results have been since that treatment. She takes detailed notes of each session and modifies the treatments accordingly. I have found the moxibustion and auricular treatments to be some of my favorites and they have provided excellent results. Emma is a professional above all else. However, she is truly a healer with special skills that cant be taught or learned from books.

I am compassionate, kind and very gentle with the needles. And, it is not only acupuncture that I am using to treat my patients, there are many modalities that I use and each is used to best treat each person and their individual needs.
