First a little background:
My wife and I had been working with an advisor for about 5 years before we were referred to Jorge by our neighbors.
They had moved to the area two years prior and while casually talking money during a Sunday cookout, they went off about how much they liked their advisor. I think they said that they had worked with Jorge for 10 years in Florida and that since moving to San Francisco, he had flown to see them 3 times in the past two years.
My first thought was that my advisor lived in the same city as I and I had only seen him twice in the previous 5 years. Then, Sarah (my wife) asked them how much money he was charging them to fly all the way from FL, and they said that he didn't charge them any more money because he wanted to make sure that they received the same level of service they enjoyed while they lived in Florida. The only thing Jorge asked was to not "be kept a secret".
Well, they surely didn't keep him a secret and after we met with him in person while visiting our neighbors, we got to see first-hand why they like him so much.
After working with Jorge for the past two years and can say that he is an extremely thorough Financial Planner (his service is so much more comprehensive than our previous advisor's)... oh, Sarah just told me to say that he "has a way of explaining things in a way that we can understand"
