- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Yes, I am working on my graduate certificate of event management. It's invigorating to learn best practices for my field so that I can provide the most efficient methods to planning a wedding.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I mainly work with brides to piece together the itinerary for the wedding, outlining the flow of the day. I also coordinate with the vendors to better understand their role and involvement during the wedding. Communication is key amongst wedding partners, so I work my hardest to ensure their is transparency throughout.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
My advice would be to ask for references. If you want to truly know how an event planner has done in the past, then it should be no hassle to ask for references (unless they are on their website). Also, keep in mind that a lot of labor goes into being an event planner, so shy away from taking us for granted.
