FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
At SIT, we are always looking to give our clients the very best value for their money, but we are not a discount travel agency. We are a luxury and leisure agency - Not just for rich folks, but for clients who are realistic about their desires/budget, allow us to get to know them, and trust that our travel pros will provide them the vacation of their dreams as if they were planning it for their very best friend. Occasionally, we offer EXCLUSIVE agency discounts, but we are known for treating our repeat and referring clients especially well! We value every one of our clients. Most often, we offer exclusive PERKS (think upgrades, on-board credits, romantic moon-lit dinners on the beach, welcome cocktail parties, Lei greetings, champagne toasts, etc...) We also like to "surprise and delight" our clients in unexpected ways. We don't charge planning fees (for most things) because we feel a personal connection is the best way to build lasting connections, but we know not everyone is a great fit. Those who aren't usually don't become clients. If we charged a fee at the beginning (as most do), we would be committing you to the business relationship before we even knew we were a good fit. We've been asked how we can afford to do it this way. It's because our clients return trip after trip and refer us to their friends, family, and clients.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Our process for working with new clients: Initial request - you've made a request or answered an opportunity Initial contact - Michele, our owner, will acknowledge your request by following up with a short form link for you to complete or providing a Calendly link to schedule a call the following day (or that day if it works out). On that call, I will listen to what you want and ask questions to get to know you better. This is one way we get crystal clear about what you want and the budget you want to work with.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
In the travel industry, we are constantly learning! It never stops. Our advisors are all either certified or becoming certified within their respective specialties; however, they are also consistently keeping up on all the current travel news, trends, destinations, and types of travel. We use many different travel suppliers (think resort brands, hotels, cruise lines, insurance, excursion companies, tour companies, etc), and each of them has its training and updates to keep up with as well. You cannot be a travel advisor without a hunger for constant learning!
