I wish I could have written a great review but unfortunately this is not the case. I had high hopes for Willy. I really wanted to love the work especially given his background having worked at The Breakers. First problem was his communicating the work and the items needed. I thought I was doing something good by supporting the little guy trying to make a living and now I feel as if shame on me I should have just hired a landscape company. The finished product is not polished or nicely manicured like it should be when you pay a professional. The weed barrier cloth that he put down is showing on the edges and in some places isn’t covered at all. In other areas he didn’t put cloth down and just mulched and now I have grass and weeds coming through and will have to have the entire thing redone. The beds are not nicely edged the grass is already starting to grown right into the area. Something that should have been completely in one or two days wasn’t and it looks like something I could have had a kid do not a professional. If I didn’t have medical issues I could have done a better job myself. I really feel as if he’s not interested in taking pride in the work and that’s it’s all about the money. I spent $2k with him and other than the plants and rocks I feel like it was money wasted. I communicated my expectations and he assured me that I would be very happy. The result is not such, nothing he did looks special or professionally landscaped. At $40 an hour my property should look better than the Royal Botanical Gardens. Now that he been fully paid he doesn’t respond. I am disappointed that someone could actually be proud of this work. He had a great opportunity here as I live in an brand new upscale community with people looking for good landscaping. Matter of fact he was already promoting him self to my neighbors while he working on my property. I actually love helping in other succeed and would have sent him a lot of business. My community has a Facebook page and I will absolutely make sure I let everyone be aware of his work or lack there of. This is not the case now, he hasn’t responded to my calls or text messages nor has he shown up for me to express my concerns. Very unfortunate that their are people out there that don’t take pride in the work they do. It saddens me that I even have to post this but I feel it’s important because others should be very careful when spending there hard earned money. I work 10-14 hours 6 days a week so for me this project was about coming home each day feeling good also making it worth it. I know that posting photos would help others see how bad this turned out but I am so dissatisfied with the result that I don’t even want to take photos as it will just make me more and more upset. However, if need be I will consider sharing them in the future especially a before and after once I figure out who I am going to get to fix this.
