Michelle provided us with the skills and guidance necessary to go from survival in our marriage to thriving. I also had childhood difficulties that I never sought healing for until I became an adult. After working with Michelle for a year I have seen a tremendous change in my emotional well being independently and in my relationship.
She's patient, she is kind, she's understanding. Im glad she did mine. My wedding was sweet and not rushed. She actually made my husband blush. 13yrs of marriage and to renow. It actually showed other couples that marriage is the thing to do. God is pleased by Sheena work. So I solute Thumbtack for sending her our way.
My wife and I are thrilled with Ruth. She has given our marriage a huge lift. We had been movingb in a very negative direction for the past few years and tried marriage counseling before but without any success. Ruth has a very unique way of helping us open up our communication and it has been great.
God’s timing is a mystery and after a experiencing a long season of suffering, suddenly my circumstances changed when God connected me to Michael Armfield, a spirit-filled, life coach whose skilled advice is guiding me toward restoration. My story is not unique. Like many women, I was emotionally ravaged by a one-sided divorce that ended a 20 year marriage. Consequently, I suffered, having a “good day” followed by “bad days”. I have spent the better part of ten years trying to reconcile my shattered self-image and regain a sense of self-worth. Recently, I reached a tipping point and, finally fed up with the dead-end, deja-vu cycle of self-loathing, over-eating and persistently negative mind-set, I finally realized that I was poisoning my very own existence and God-given potentiality. My negative view of my world and failure to move on with life has exhausted the emotions of all my dear family members and closest friends. My children encouraged me to seek council, which I resisted because I wanted GOD to fix my emotions, finances and waistline. Recently, I began counseling with Michael and, as a result of his astute advice and weekly “homework”, I am finally walking through the graveyard of my past instead of living there day-to-day. His wise counsel and guidance have created a much-needed positive shift in my negative view of the world. I am experiencing the lifting of a mighty burden and starting to live in the NOW. Gratefully, I am recognizing the slow but certain healing of my mind, will and emotions. Sending heartfelt thanks to Michael and Gateway Counseling.
I've never had an experience like I just did with Dr. Ransen. My husband and I have seen quite a number of marriage therapists over our 43 years together. This one initial session with Dr. Ransen helped us more as a couple, and me as an individual, than months and months of past sessions with other therapists.
Before our first session with Abbe for marital counseling, my husband and I had separated. There was little communication between us but lots of anger. We've now had 7 sessions with Abbe and are communicating openly and enjoying each other's company again. We still have a lot of hard work ahead of us but with Abbe's expertise and help, we feel much more confident of a future together again.
This experience truly changed my life. Stacey is a beautiful, creative, open minded person who I instantly felt very comfortable working with. I'm not going to lie, I was very hesitant about the whole thing in the beginning. Life coach? Talking to someone I don't know about my problems and my deepest fears... I don' t think so! But something inside me kept nagging at me, telling me to do it. At this time, I was going thru a very bad time in my life. I was in a terrible relationship with someone who I loved but had come to realize had serious psychological issues, I had NO confidence, no friends or family living near me and a job I hated. I really didn't know where to turn. So I did it. What did I have to lose? No one would know and I could finally really talk to someone about what was going on in my life. This was hands down, the best decision I have ever made and I don't even want to know where I would be if I hadn't done it. When we started, I questioned everything. How was this really going to change my life? I had very little faith and to be completely honest I even thought the whole "life coach" thing sounded a little corny. I hung in there though. I did what she asked me to do and, at first, slowly little things started changing for me. I had a chance to sit back look at myself, my loved ones and life in general in a completely different way from what I had been doing my whole life. I realized so much being able to talk to Stacey and working with her gave me the chance to look at my life through someone elses' eyes. Growing up, I've gone to counselors, therapists, psychiatrists, the list goes on and on. I've never had someone help me so much though. I think it's partially because Stacey really cares. I've had the opportunity to form a friendship with her thru this process and can honestly say she is an amazing person that cares so much about the well being of others and makes changing your life fun and exciting. I looked forward to meeting with her every week. She's so creative with the work she does with you and goes completely above and beyond what any other type of counselor or therapist does. She has changed her own life and helped changed so many others and she understands. She doesn't make you feel judged or less then. She does just the opposite. Something sent this women to me and I KNOW it was meant to be. If something has sent her to you, have faith in it or have faith in yourself. Stop questioning everything about it and believe in something. I never thought I would be sitting here writing this review, trying to figure out how to get across how much this really changed and how much I know it can change yours, if your are ready and willing. I now have my dream job, relationship and am on a spiritual journey I never knew possible and I will be forever grateful to Stacey and the work she has done with me. All you have to do is trust your intuition! Good luck on your journey and have faith in it ;)
Fr. Paul performed our marriage and baptized both our children in the Catholic faith. Each ceremony was lovely. We feel blessed to have had these meaningful experiences with him. He is a very kind and genuine person.
Very professional, great atmosphere, and wonderful people
Nakya is an amazing therapist. She provides a warm, welcoming atmosphere for clients where they are challenged to find their inner strength through creative activities and traditional talk therapy. She works very well with adolescents, and is never condescending or judgmental. This organization provides a much needed service to Broward County families looking for a therapist that is bright, in touch with the unique challenges of raising a family during the internet age, and open to creative solutions. I highly recommend her!
Art is a very professional and kind. I worked with him as a patient a few years ago and felt his style to very calm and unthreatening. I would recommend him to anyone who is in need of a compassionate therapist.
My experience, was really different from what I expected. I was there with my spouse for marriage counseling. I was under the impression that therapist choose sides, however Chasity was not like that. She was very open minded and she listen to both my husband and my concern, with no judgement. She provided time for us to express our feeling without being rushed, she offered immediate feedback on question that we asked her. She helped my husband and I to understand, difference in communication, so we can converse better. Most importantly she made me feel comfortable, in an uncomfortable situation. I can wait until our next visit.
First time I ever went to see a therapist and I it's been really helpful. Great investment!
I found her by the grace of God . She saved our marriage .. We now have a better marriage then we thought we could have . She has taught both my husband and I how to really love each other and communicate our feelings . She also helped us with other issues that were destroying our marriage ..and got through to my husband which I never thought would happen . She saw me many times alone and really helped me to understand myself . We are still in therapy not as often as we were . My husband actually looks forward to going.. We know if we slip we can see her and we come out of her office feeling renewed .. Thank you Riana..
My husband and I have always needed help communicating. We just opened a business which is very stressful and were fighting all the time. Dr. Sussman is as described in his profile which is exactly what we needed! He is comfortable, experienced, professional, keeps on point, genuinely concerned about solving your issues, always on time and you never feel rushed to get out of your session. After only 3 sessions we are communicating 100% better and a lot less fighting. We are both completely satisfied with Dr. Barry Sussman.
I have known Paul for the last 27 years; first meeting him as a therapist when my ex-husband and I left our church after a Congregational dispute with the husband/wife pastors. Through the years he counselled our daughter after she was sexually abused at 10 by our neighbor. He was our marriage counselor and unfortunately through no fault of Paul's my ex and I were divorced on our 32 wedding anniversary. I finally went back to the church we left after the dispute because they had called Paul as their pastor. Paul is a very caring man, in the position of pastor or therapist. Paul is a very special man in my eyes and in my heart. He saved me my sanity.
"Luna was a refreshing change from those my son had worked with in the past. She was very compassionate, but was also realistic and matter-of-fact. Her approach was fresh and innovative, not preachy or patronizing, which we had seen plenty of in the past. She did explore the underlying causes of my son's addictive and self-destructive behavior ( and these always exist), and helped him understand these. But while she was caring, understanding, and supportive of his feelings of pain, she did not allow him to hide behind these or use these as an excuse. This is very important, as all addicts play the "blame game" as a way to deflect taking responsibility for their own behavior. We had family counseling, as any addiction becomes a family disease, and all members play a part in the problem. Luna was the most knowledgable and skillful therapist I had ever worked with. She is effective, and again, very understanding and compassionate. She helped me to see my part in my sons disease, and, most importantly, gave me encouragement and hope for the future. Another significant, if not the most significant, difference in Luna's counseling, is the directive nature of her therapy. It is good to listen and let a patient or family member vent their frustrations and feelings, but that is not enough. Addiction is a complicated and frustrating disease. If we all knew how to improve the situation, we would be doing so already. What the addict and family members need is clarification of positive steps and how to accomplish them. Luna was superb in this area, and both my son and we left each session with clear identification of areas to work on and specific direction as to how to implement improvements. This was key to my sons success. My son entered treatment 2 years and 2 months ago. He has been out of any formal treatment and halfway house living arrangements for a year. He has been sober most of that year, with a few "stumbles" during that time. Nothing long term, and I know he will never fall into that lifestyle again. It is remarkable to see the growth and change in him. For the first time since he began drinking, he wants to stay sober, which is something he never wanted to do. He credits Luna as the single therapist who could reach him and show him that this was not only desirable, but achievable. I would highly recommend Luna for therapy for any individual and/or family who is grappling with an addiction, or any other detrimental psychological issue." MC, Chicago, IL
