Dave helped me change my health, my life and my general outlook in more ways than one. He isn't just an average trainer or an average person, he is one of the most genuine people that I know. Besides pushing me harder than I have ever been pushed to reach my fitness goals, his positive attitude and amazing personality impacted my day every time I saw him. He is extremely knowledgable, he loves what he does and he cares about his clients way beyond the gym. I trained with Dave for 9 months total, lost 20 pounds within 4 months and saw constant change in my body shape. Five stars is an understatement!!!!!

I've been a client for about 7 years. I started there with tremendous hip and back pain that - despite many visits to physical therapy and countless doctors -- only Suzanne could diagnose. She discovered my foot had very limited range of motion stemming from a severed Achilles tendon from a shark attack years earlier. Overcompensation patterns were sending a cascade of impacts throughout my body. Over time, we worked to correct the imbalances and today I am building a stronger, stable body without pain. This team has extensive training and education and their methods are safe and effective. They think outside the box. No cookie cutter programs here -- you get exactly what YOU need. Plus this facility has the only Isofit machine in Central Florida -- a unique piece of equipment that is effective and safe no matter how weak or strong you are. It's completely under your control and it works well. These trainers coach everyone from the injured to the elderly to top athletes in baseball, triathlons and other sports. If you want results and to learn more than you ever expected about exercise and your muscular system, put your health in their hands. It's one of the best decisions I ever made!

Elle is so passionate about health and fitness that it is infectious. I was tentative about the gym and gym culture because it was out of my comfort zone, but she helped me realize that the gym is whatever I make it. She will push you and support you. If you say no, she will say yes. Elle is diligent about proper form and safety. She is continuously researching and educating herself and others about the latest in health and fitness. She is a great teacher and will be your biggest fan. You won't always like her, but you'll be grateful for her when the day is done.

I have been very impressed with how Dr. Gampolo runs his practice! Prices are very reasonable and Dr. Gampolo was awesome! During my initial visit with him, he examined my posture (now I’m constantly trying to pull my shoulders back) and my spine. He also spent time getting to know my history, my aches/complaints, and what I wanted out of future visits. I randomly told him about some non-related back pain while we were talking, not expecting any suggestions. Well, he shows me a chart that explains how countless issues with your body actually relate to your spine! (And he wasn’t trying to “sell” me on getting adjustments like other chiropractors have done in the past!) I felt comfortable talking with Dr. Gampolo! I am happy I found my new favorite chiropractor who is so passionate about helping people.

I love this gym! I started January and in 2 months lost 10 lbs & 10 inches! For someone who's never really worked out before (other than walking on a treadmill), I'm amazed by the things my body can now do!! I've had PCOS for 20 years and it's always been a challenge for me to lose weight but I'm finally turning the corner and feel stronger and healthier than I've felt in many years. I have so much gratitude for Ulrick who's been such a supportive and informative coach. I conquered my toughest mental challenge thus far 1. By joining 2. Returning after that 1st workout! I knew then this was something I Had To Do For Myself! I know I'm ready for this life changing experience and this gym's going to get me there!! ~Melissa

I've never experienced workouts as intense and effective as the ones Marci custom creates for me. She knows where my problem areas are (both physical and mental) and she focuses on my cardio first, I was focused on strength training and was merely bulking up and all it did was cause.my body pain and made my clothes.tight. I needed to learn stamina and breathing first! Lost some inches right away, too! Marci uses humor and pointed encouragement in order to help push me through the moments when my body and mind want to quit. I need someone to help push me like this, as I have had difficulty following through with weight loss goals in the past. Marci has the knowledge, the experience and the heart for her job. She takes health and fitness very seriously and focuses more on helping me to reach my goals than about her own financial gain. I appreciate that, as I have had a few financial setbacks this year. She was willing to work with me when I had difficulty maintaining the cost of the program, in order to keep improving. I have since caught up and am so grateful she didn't give up on me--I would have had to start completely over, and probably would have not made it back. I have learned to appreciate her mid-week voice mails and encouraging banter. She is truly a friend to her clients and I am much stronger today thanks to her professional commitment to my well-being and overall health. Can't wait to see what she has in store for me next week when we begin to combine strength and conditioning with cardio, also speed and agility exercises! Always new challenges! This girl is the real deal! I definitely recommend her to anyone who has ever made excuses not to get started. Call Marci--she WILL help you reach your goals!

If you want a real trainer who became a trainer because he loves to help people than this is your guy! He knows what he is talking about (which if you've had other trainers you know this isn't always the case). He will help you push yourself to be a better version of 'you' and will not cause you to harm yourself by pushing you too hard. I once had a trainer who pushed me so hard that my calves cramped up every time I tried to walk for over 5 days. That's not normal! This guy is the real deal and you won't regret having him train you. Wish he still worked at my gym :( and lived closer!!!

Cindy was my Life Coach for almost a year. She was very thorough and held me accountable, but in a way that challenged me to do better and go after more. She walked me through a very difficult transition stage of life, but she did it with encouragement and spoke the words I needed to hear, not what she thought I wanted to hear. I am stronger and more confident as I journey forward because of her mentoring and friendship.

Working with Chris has been and continues to simply be one of the best experiences ever. I'm not only impressed by his knowledge about the body, nutrition and how to help me reach my goals, but how he actually 'cares'. He pushes me to be better, stronger and faster but above all he also pushes me to believe in myself. He is always looking out for me, taking the time to correct my form so that I work and target the muscles and help avoid injury (whereas moat coaches (in my personal experience) simply overlook this.)

I began working with Suzy West in April of 2014. Her holistic approach in using acupuncture is what drew me to work with Suzy. Over the years, we have worked on many chronic health issues that did not respond to "traditional" treatment - stress headaches, digestive issues, and muscle issues are a few. Suzy is totally focused on her patient, carefully listens to her history, and is fully engaged in the healing. She poses thoughtful questions to clarify all facets of the problem. Working with Suzy has impacted my life and health in a positive way. I have recommended consultations with Suzy to several people for a variety of ailments and would encourage anyone considering acupuncture to schedule an appointment with her. Gayle Young-Monroe

    About

P.U.S.H. Health & Fitness is more then just your average personal fitness provider. We focus on not just fitness goals but a total life time change. We pride ourselves as not being a boss but being leaders and working out with our clients. The owner of Get Gainz Fitness has a very interesting story of his own. He was morbidly obese and suffered from depression and anxiety. His journey started six months ago when he reached his peak weight of 360. This number struck him with reality. He was having a horrible day when he came in the gym. He was sure that his workout session would not be good at all. When he started working out his entire day changed for the better. That day he realized this was not just about weight loss, this became a passion. He now is recruiting you to come along his journey. He is a trainer that is not pointing over you telling you what to do. No, he is with you every step of the way. Every breath, every rep, every step. So prepare to change your life for the better.

    About

When was the last time you talked with someone about your health and received the personal attention you deserve? It’s rare for anyone to get an hour to work on their nutrition and goals with a trained professional. As a health coach, I create a supportive environment that will enable you to achieve all of your health goals. I have studied all the major dietary theories and use practical lifestyle coaching methods to guide you in discovering which approach works best for you. Most approaches to nutrition dwell on calories, carbs, fats, and proteins. Instead of creating lists of restrictions and good and bad foods, I coach my clients to create a happy, healthy life in a way that is flexible, fun, and free of denial and discipline. No one diet works for everyone!

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

    What is a health coach?

A health coach is a service provider you can hire to help you realize your wellness goals. You can hire a health and wellness coach to guide you through life changes, keep you focused on weight loss or fitness goals, help boost your mental health, and more. Many health coaches work with their clients for set periods of time as the client moves toward a measurable goal. Wellness coaches come from varying backgrounds, and may have different areas of focus depending on their education and training. Research potential coaches by reading their reviews, researching their academic and personal backgrounds, and learning about any certifications they have earned from coaching institutes. Often, health and wellness coaches sell coaching packages ranging from three to six months or longer, depending on the client’s needs. The average national cost for an individual health coach session ranges from $60 to $90, although prices may range as low as $30 or up to $130 or more, depending on your location and the coach.

How much does a nutritionist cost?

A nutritionist provides expertise and guidance to help clients with all diet-related health matters, including losing weight, gaining muscle, improving their sports performance, and managing diabetes or high cholesterol. Nutritionists can help people learn to follow special diets in a healthy way, such as becoming vegetarian or vegan or developing a low-sodium or gluten-free eating plan. The average national cost of a nutritionist is $60 to $100. Nutritionists often require an initial consultation with a new client, during which they’ll take a medical history, assess the client’s nutritional needs, and determine the best course of action; this first meeting usually averages $100-$120 for a 45-minute to 90-minute consultation. Subsequent nutritional counseling sessions generally cost less, ranging from an average of $45 for a half-hour session to $60-$90 for a one-hour session. Like many professional service providers, nutritionists may offer discounts through package pricing. For instance, a one-month package with two sessions and email support costs an average of $190; a three-month package with three sessions and email support costs an average of $360; and a six-month package with six sessions and email support costs an average of $540.

Are nutritionists covered by health insurance?

Nutrition counseling can be a critical component of good health care, especially for people recently diagnosed with diabetes or high cholesterol who need to adhere to a specific diet. People also meet with nutritionists for help developing a healthy vegetarian or vegan diet, developing an eating plan to lose weight or gain muscle, or improving their sports performance by changing their diet. Nutritionists may be covered by health insurance depending on your reason for meeting with them. Nutrition counseling is more likely to be covered if it is part of a doctor-prescribed treatment for a particular medical condition, such as diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure or coronary heart disease. For example, Medicare covers medical nutrition therapy services only for people diagnosed with diabetes or kidney disease, as long as they get a referral from their doctor. Also, insurance providers more often cover nutrition visits if the patient has been referred to a registered dietitian within the carrier’s network of providers. Insurance plans vary greatly, so research your benefits before visiting a nutritionist.

What is a holistic wellness coach?

When you want to reach new heights with your health and wellness, consider hiring a holistic wellness coach. Much like a health coach, a holistic wellness coach is focused on your well-being and meets with you in one-on-one sessions to help you identify and reach your targeted goals. A holistic wellness coach will typically have you take all components of your life into account when working to achieve your goals. If your goal is to lose weight, a holistic wellness coach will not only offer recommendations for your diet and exercise, but also discuss your emotional health, your work/life balance, your spiritual side, and each area of your life that affects your ability to follow a nutrition and fitness plan.

Although they are highly motivational and often can help clients achieve great results, holistic wellness coaches are not professional health care providers or registered dietitians. Different institutes and training centers provide certifications for holistic wellness coaching, so be sure to research your coach and read their reviews to understand more about their techniques and training.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
