If I could choose all 5 characteristics above, I would. Gotta Have It Catering (GHI)… You REALLY (just) GOTTA HAVE IT! Seriously! My husband and I just used GHI as our caterer since we had my Retirement Party and our SURPRISE wedding at Journeyman’s Hall (JMH) which are both owned by Vince Marra. The service that Vince and his staff provided (especially Susan) was always top notch. We planned our #RetireWedding from September 2025 (when I retired) to February 2026 (which was when we had the event). When we first booked, Vince was very accommodating (because we actually changed the month of the event from November 2025 to February 28th, 2026) after we realized we needed more time to plan - once we saw the venue and all that Vince and his team had to offer. Susan Bloom was the one who saw the entire event through (after Vince booked us). She was always so nice, attentive, and very thorough as it related to keeping up with notes for our very extraordinary event. Both Vince and Susan thought our idea of surprising our guests was a great idea and they were totally committed to executing the mission with us! From the venue, to the fabulous Cocktail Hour & “Grazing Stations” menus curated by Vince, to the black velvet curtains that allowed us to keep the “Grounded Altar” hidden until it was time to get married, to the fun bartender, and all of the other staff (including Marisol) who helped to ensure that our RetireWedding went off without a hitch…Feel rest assured that JMH is totally the place to consider if you want a beautiful, on trend, city chic, large/character rich venue with an industrial aesthetic, for your next event! The venue is also accessible which was a plus for us. Frankly, if you’re reading this, I would have to believe that you are in need of a venue or catering for your wedding or any other event. If that is the case, go ahead and move forward with GHI/JMH… You’ll be so pleased that you did! And finally, the food and drinks…Everyone is still talking about (two weeks later) how delicious the food was and how good the drinks were! 10 out of 10, highly recommend!

Vince, Travis and Courtney provided a fabulous wedding luncheon at my wedding on May 19th at the Solarium in Oakhurst. The food was simply delectable and the service was second to none - from the first phone call to clean-up. Attention to detail was spot-on and so many of our guests came up to the groom and I at the reception to comment on how delicious and beautiful the food was. GHI provided perfect family style service with creative culinary ideas to make my southern fixings and entrees mesh with the 25 or so vegetarians present (including the Bride and Groom). Gotta Have It had the experience and expertise to make the food shine in tandem with hard work of the planner, venue and florist with 110 close family and friends attending the event. They even made special care to have my DIY ideas shine with the food service and decor. 5 stars all around. As a customer, I don't know how it could have been any better.

I had to choose a caterer for my daughter's wedding, relying only on reviews from Thumbtack, since I live more than 650 miles away. I could not have been happier with the interactions I had with Vince Marra before the wedding. He suggested a menu which was interesting and well balanced and received many compliments. Nothing was too hard for him or his crew. They supplied plates of "children-food" for small guests, heated up and plated some food for a guest with special needs, kept everything coming along at just the right time, and made it all look effortless and elegant. The carver and the servers were as pleasant and gracious as they could possibly be (I wish I knew their names!) and Travis, who was in charge of our event, handled every request cheerfully, speedily, and so very competently. This whole experience has taught me a lot about trusting professionals to do what they do! I loved working with "Gotta Have It."
