- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We employ a consultative approach focused on the customer's stated needs and goals. We first sit down with our customer, either in person for via videoconference, to map out all objectives, ask any questions that we need answered in order to deliver services, and then provide an estimate on the level of effort, time, and additional materials that are needed in order to complete the work. For extended jobs, customers will receive updates at agreed-upon intervals as status progresses.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Boston University and a Master's degree in Software Engineering from Brandeis University. I have 25 years of professional experience in software development, custom computer design, computer troubleshooting, networking installation and network configuration. Additionally, I have been designing, installing, and configuring wireless networks for those 25 years and installing wired, physical networks for 10 years.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
College. :-) I've always been attracted to technology, software development, networking, and home entertainment.
