I have multiple years experience in both teaching and performing music: piano, clarinet, and voice. I have a lot of experience with wedding ceremony music as well as cocktail hour music. Whatever your needs, I can meet them! I run my teaching studio out of my house in the East Lake area. I offer half hour and hour long lesson times. Brock did a great job of understanding and catering to my specific needs. He communicates well, he's easy to get along with, and he knows his stuff. I'm looking forward to having weekly voice lessons with him.

I have been taking lessons from Brock for about a year. One of my students and I actually started together. She is 4 and I'm 34. I was nervous about employing someone to teach an adult and a child. I feel like usually people are good at one or the other. However, Brock does not teach music, he teaches people. He does a wonderful job of making his students feel comfortable and learning them. He adjusts to each individual and teaches the individual, however, they learn. -Britton Pierce

Brock has been an amazing piano teacher! When I moved to Atlanta, I wanted to pick up piano again but didn’t know much about teachers in the area. I found Brock through thumbtack and started taking lessons back in November 2017. He is extremely knowledgeable and patient! I have picked up so much since I’ve started. He has a great room in his house where he teaches lessons, and he and his wife create a very welcoming space for students! He is extremely flexible and responsive when it comes to scheduling. I would definitely refer others to take lessons with Brock!

Mr. Derringer worked with Joey on short- and long-term goals, and provided excellent instruction and mentorship to get him there. Joey has made so much growth in the year he has been working with Mr. Derringer. He's ready to join the band! From Joey: Mr. Derringer is an excellent teacher. He knows what he's talking about and has a clear understanding of the clarinet. He is fun to talk to and makes it easy to understand the concepts we're working on.
