A. VoiceoverCity, LLC provides recommendations and training opportunities for persons looking to start or further establish a career in the voiceover industry.

Q. Describe three recent jobs you've completed.

A. Held a series of local Meetups to group members in the Atlanta area. This provided an opportunity for members to network and exchange ideas.

Q. What advice do you have for a customer looking to hire a provider like you?

A. Persons working with VoiceoverCity are amazed that we focus a lot on helping people find a path to the success they want. Those goals may be different, and so may the path to get there. We offer a number of different options to anyone wanting to explore voiceover.

Q. If you were a customer, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?

A. Your path is unique to you. Let us help guide you along the way and provide you with some direction and information as you move forward.

Q. What questions should a consumer ask to hire the right service professional?

A. What are their primary objectives and who's goals are they focused on? It's important to understand this because you want to know that your interest remain central to your interactions with your provider.

Q. What important information should buyers have thought through before seeking you out?

A. Why do you want to pursue voiceover? After all, it's a business and has to be respected as such. It's work and requires an investment in time and energy to get things going. Come ready to work.

Q. Why does your work stand out from others who do what you do?

A. There is not similar organization like VoiceoverCity in that we serve as a central resource for talent and service providers alike.

Q. What do you like most about your job?

A. The best part about VoiceoverCity is being able to listen to the stories about people getting involved and realizing they aren't alone. They can do this and by connecting with VoiceoverCity, they know that they have the support of a community to help them move forward. It's great to know you're making a difference.

Q. What questions do customers most commonly ask you? What's your answer?

A. I've heard I have a nice voice...how do I get started in voiceover? The answer to that is that you should attend an introduction to voiceover workshop where you can get a better understanding of the options that exist in voiceover. After attending an intro workshop, you will have a much better idea of what the next step is and how you want to proceed.

This is also the least expensive way to get going since you will get a great overview of the industry in one session.

Q. What do you wish customers knew about you or your profession?

A. Many people that come to VoiceoverCity have a very limited view of what voiceover is all about. Fortunately, we are able to provide an overview of the business and really help them find their way.

Q. What are the latest developments in your field? Are there any exciting things coming in the next few years or decade that will change your line of business?

A. In the voiceover field technology has taken hold and talent are expected (required) to be able to pull together a home studio where they can produce quality audio submissions. Going to a local studio is also an option, but having options to work from home are becoming the norm.

Q. If you were advising someone who wanted to get into your profession, what would you suggest?

A. If we were to advise someone, which we often do, we would first tell them to get ready to learn a lot, work a lot, and be patient. It takes time to get going, but we will do our part to pair you with the resources you need to have a great start.

Q. What are you currently working on improving?

A. VoiceoverCity is fairly new to the Atlanta area and we are working very hard to build relationships with other local providers. Through those relationships, we are able to provide the right connections to people that are ready to take their next step.
