Cherrelle M. says, "After 3 years of trying to get my leaky & flappy pergola repaired by the initial contractor…I reached out to Quality Home Repair (Mr. Thurston) through Thumbtack the evening of April 29th. He replied the next morning to set up a free estimate and came out the following day, May 1st. He quickly assessed the issue, confirming what I thought hadn’t happened with the initial installation of my pergola. It needed a tilt and sealant added to the bolts…he also realized the flashings were installed incorrectly and pointed out that was the biggest mistake and reason for the leaks. He gave a very fair quote, I had a much higher number in my head and told me he’d be ready whenever I was. After a few days of discussion with my significant other and thought, I reached out to him Sunday morning to set up a day and time to get started. We landed on Tuesday May 5th at 9am… Mr. Thurston arrived at 8:45, his crew took a little longer but when he got there they did a walk through of what needed to be done and materials needed. Work began officially around noon and just as I thought I’d have to cancel my cinco de mayo plans around 5pm they were finished! I waited a few days to write the review because heavy rain was in the forecast and I wanted to be sure the problem was solved. After last night and this morning I am so happy to say that my deck is completely dry! No leaks, no flapping and I can finally sit outside with my coffee on rainy morning expressing how much we need it! Thank you Quality Home Repairs!"See more
