"Today marks four and one-half months training four days per week with Jason at Nuanced Fitness.
I'm a grown man, and, embarrassingly enough, my "bench press" started out at a 95lb struggle. Squat and Dead-lift wasn't even a thing. It was a good day if I could do 10 pushups without having to rest. I have to run a 1.5 mile timed run for my job and even that was a struggle. Oh yeah.... I weighed 206 lbs... heaviest in my life.
4.5 months later I've lost over 25 lbs. I'm at least at 185 bench-press and still improving. I can dead-lift over 200, my squat is getting close to my dead-lift and I can tell its getting ready to be even better. I can rep out pushups at the end of a brutal chest day better than I could rested when I first started (unless the goal was to not be able to move that day... hah.... I love those days). My 1.5 mile run was a 15:30 and it dropped to below a 13:00 WITHOUT EVEN RUNNING.
Needless to say, I'm so pleased. I'm writing this review at the 4.5 month mark, not because I'm done training but because its an injustice to this Jason's skill as a training. His programming takes into account 15+ YEARS of experience and a 4 YEAR DEGREE. I don't know about anyone else, but I don't want to spend 15 years and a college degree to figure out where I've been screwing up all these years.
Now I'm not strong. Jason is strong. (500lbs is something I didn't even know humans could lift. Jason can do that.) BUT working with him has shown me that getting strong is possible, even for me. I really can't put into words what that has done for my overall sense of well-being, my self-confidence, my ability to commit to a task and stick with it.
So many avenues in my life have been improved working with this gentleman and I know its just getting started. If you think I'm full of crap and I'm just hype, check out his instagram... I'm the guy in Tan and Black-Shorts all the time. You can see I'm putting in work and getting better and better.
If you are thinking about signing up with Jason, do it. Just do it. Finally commit to this and do it right this time. Become a better version of yourself that can look back at where you are now and just laugh and shake your head. Its doable. I'm doing it right now.
I can't wait to see what the next 4.5 months bring!"
