Doc was great. I came in with a list of goals and we worked diligently to achieve them. The fitness complex is excellent, clean and updated. I had 2 months and we set a 4x a week schedule. Doc was responsive to texts if I was going to miss an appointment or arrive late due to traffic. He is very knowledgeable about diet and form. I was surprised to get gains with very little soreness. I was so impressed I had my mother (79) take lessons with he and his wife Daria. She uses a walker and wheelchair and I'm excited and hopeful about her progress. You can beat the value and the experience.
I had a chance to watch Al Mcbee for several months before using him as a personal trainer. Being a former athlete there are just certain things I look for within a trainer, professionalism, being knowledgeable and showing results. I was so impressed with Als performance that I informed my son whos a professional athlete to possibly utilize his services during his off-season. The results that my son was able to accomplish using Al were amazing. My son was very satisfied with his results. When it came time for me to hire a personal trainer it was a no brainer to hire Al. My issues were a little different, my issues were health related and I was no longer an athlete preparing for a season. I was interested in seeing how Al was going to change his training program as its pretty easy to train a world class athlete; its a little more challenging when dealing with a client with health issue; or just wanting to get back in shape. I bring this up because I think its very important to show Als versatility and his ability to train a person regardless of their physical level or ability. Al and I sat down and talked about what I wanted to accomplish, primarily changing my diet with the help of a nutritionist and losing about eighty pounds. What I liked about Al is that we set realistic goals and timeframes; we talked about my diet based on what my nutritionist gave me to follow, and how long it would take to accomplish this in conjunction with workouts. He agreed how important changing my eating habits was for the goals we were trying to meet to be successful. It all made perfect sense as you cant workout for an hour, then eat a Big Mac combo. Once I started my lessons we targeted areas of concern; Al was very knowledgeable and informative about what we were trying to accomplish during and after each lesson. Als motto is simple, train like an athlete and youll look like one; which means youre going to work your tail off, but the results are not deniable. I learned real fast that the word former athlete really meant former, but the workouts were challenging and Al has the skills to know how to push you to get maximum results. Fast forward, within several months I have lost sixty-five pounds and my blood pressure is under control. I havent felt this good in years. Were on pace with the timeframe that he originally gave me and I find myself working out just as hard on my off days, which is a credit to Als ability to motivate his clients. When were working out its amazing, the interest members have about Als workouts and the questions Im asked and how challenging my workouts look. My reply is always the same, Al is the real deal, and he gets results, no matter what level youre at physically. Als training methods were designed for each individuals ability, which shows the true ability of a trainer. All of Als clients in the gym, Workout Anytime, has developed a special bond and friendship with each other and have a great time encouraging each other to work hard. Its really cool knowing that Im part of Als group and that many members watch us in admiration during our workouts. My suggestion to them is, to get off the sidelines and get in the game. My wife was so impressed with my results that she now uses Al as a personal trainer and her results are simply amazing. Im sure her review will be coming out soon. I had a great time training with Troy. I took six krav maga lessons from him over two weeks while home from college. I began with no krav maga experience whatsoever, and left feeling confident in my ability to perform an array of strikes, and was introduced to a handful of defense sequences and take downs. I don't recommend rushing in to three sesons a week initially however. These lessons make you a new kind of sore in the beginning. Overall, Troy's a focused, smart dude that is capable of teaching you anything you need to know
David is a great guy and a really good instructor! I would recommend him to anyone that was looking to learn Krav maga or any self defense....
I started attending The Atlanta School of Aikido in Nov 2007. Fantastic school! I love our style of Aikido. Extremely fluid and effective and you don't have to get beat up by some over zealous gong ho instructor to learn it. I recommend you visit the school and give it a try. Larry Feldman Sensei is the head instructor here in Atlanta GA. Very patient man when it comes to teaching our style of Aikido. You'll need it for the complicated footwork in the system.
Cobb Martial Arts is the perfect place to take your kids to learn karate and self defense. Nory Lugo is excellent with the kids. He explains things so it's easy for them to understand and he is very patient. All the kids love him. My son has been taking classes here for almost 1 year and we couldn't have found a better place. He has learned so much and has so much fun.
Thank you Sensei for befriending me and for teaching me. I value both relationships. I have been at the Green Room Martial Arts for almost 6 months. If I could, I would be there just hanging out most of the time at the dojo. I have always loved learning and especially when it allows me to be physical. I am a kinesthetic learner first, then a visual learner second and then an auditory learner last. So, I learn very quickly in the classes because I am able to do it and see it being done. Once, I was in distress and just felt lost and lost my focus for a while. But, being at the Greenroom Martial Arts dojo has given me some physical purpose to my abilities and has re-confirmed me and re-focused me. It is nice to be a woman and to feel feminine, but it is so nice to be a woman who can be physical and assertive... and even aggressive if need be. I LOVE BEING IN MY MARTIAL ARTS CLASSES. This place is an excellent place to be, friendly, caring, and educational. It teaches respect, honor, and discipline to everyone who enters. It supports parents and their children. It teaches them the importance of love, honor and respecting their parents and other adults. It teaches the importance of being alert and aware of your surroundings. It also teaches how to walk away when you can but how to take care of business when you can't. The dojo has been like a place of refuge and release for me.
Ferris was my Krav Maga instructor for about two years. His sessions included cardio, strength, and flexibility exercises as well as excellent training in Krav techniques. Ferris works well with students of all age groups. Ferris' class greatly improved my endurance, strength, speed, and confidence.
