I am a college level math tutor, and have been tutoring high school and college material since 2001. I tutored multiple subjects for 5 years at Georgia Gwinnett College. I tutor the following subjects: * Calculus 1 and 2 * Discrete Mathematics * Statistics and Quantitative Analysis * Operations Management (Linear and Integer Programming) * College and High School Algebra * ACT/SAT math test prep * Pre-Calculus Prior to my tutoring career, I performed Operations Research for AT&T/Lucent Technologies for many years that entailed mathematical modeling, algorithm design, and considerable computer programming in multiple languages. Ken is a great tutor! He is invested in his client's success. I missed two days in my college Calc 2 class, and he was able to teach me the principles I missed. He helped me prepare for an upcoming test, and showed up to the session with notes ready to assist me in preparing for the test.

Ken is an amazing tutor. We had 7 sessions together. Before I found Ken, I made a 49 on my first calculus test and a 41 on the next. After I failed my first two test I knew I had to get a tutor then, and thats when I signed up for thumbtack and found Ken. He was always so kind and patient in helping me understand the subject. He would always highlight the things I didn't understand and even made my notes for me to look back on. From just after a few sessions with him my test scores went up tremendously, from 40's to mid 70's. Every test I always improved after having him as my tutor. Out of the 4 test all semester in my class I ended up passing the class. Ken actually cares about the people he tutors; he always wanted me to text him after my test to let him know how I did. If I ever need a tutor in any kind of math again I am definitely coming back to see him!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The prices are fixed. However, I will offer a package deal at a lower price.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Regardless of the customer, I will ask for the exact material that I will be asked to tutor at any session. On my personal time, I will review that material ahead of time so there will be no lost time during the tutoring session.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Mathematics pretty much my whole life. At AT&T/Lucent, it was mathematical computer programming for many years. Then, I tutored high school and college math for many years.
