FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For wedding films, our basic package starts at $850 for 1 camera, up to 10 hours' shooting, and you receive the raw, unedited footage. From there, you can choose from packages that include cinematic teasers/trailers and highlight films of varying lengths. We shoot on DSLRs, primarily, but can shoot with higher-quality Blackmagic Cinema cameras, as well. I can direct you to a dedicated website for our wedding films (different from Pursuit Productions LLC website) once we begin discussing your project. For promotional/corporate films, the cost for shooting on 1 camera is $50/hr. If audio is involved, the price per hour rises to $75/hr. If lighting is involved, the price moves to $100/hr. Additional cameras add another $25/hr. Depending on the project, it might be necessary to have additional technicians to assist on the shoot (camera operators, audio technicians). It generally costs $50/hr for additional technicians. Editing costs $200/edited minute (includes audio tweaking, color correction, graphics). At times, we will shoot on cameras that require more advanced color correction (such as Blackmagic Cinema cameras). Editing is $250/edited minute for these projects. If your project requires a script or conceptual work, I can offer writing services for $150 per minute of screen time.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Absolutely. I'm always watching other's work. I read up on new products and constantly read websites, blogs, and newsletters - everything from storytelling to technical, geeky stuff about lenses.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've been writing plays and making movies since I was a kid. It's a natural extension of what I've always done.
