I train under Bakar at the Body Laboratory LLC. Bakar is the best ..hands down..he is very knowledgable in the area of fitness and nutrition. Most importantly his sessions is filled with fun and I get to do different exercises (strength, conditioning ,flexibility ) each session. During the session he is always there for you..encouraging you and correcting you. For me most importantly he is very flexible and that helps me given my hectic work schedule. All you got to do is let me him know what your goals are and he would cater ur exercises for that. He is very aporochable and I enjoy my time at the gym. Great going Bakar!!.

I lost 57 pounds with this program. I have tried many other programs to lose weight over the years including NutriSystem expensive prepackaged meal program, taking Zumba classes, fitness classes, cardio classes and spin classes at my local gym. I have even tried 2 different types of weight loss drugs, including even taking laxatives! I would lose a few pounds but I always gained it back. This program was personalized and designed just for me. It is a very well rounded program. They even helped me with my work-life-balance, taught me how to eat healthy, help me to get a toned body including beautiful abs and overall health and fitness. I lost 57 pounds and look like a completely different person. I now get a ton of compliments. I have so much more energy and learned how to keep my results. If you are tired of all the fast talking personal trainers making outlandish claims with MEDIOCRE results, BE CAREFUL! Don’t get fooled by them flashing "their" six-pack abs. What you need to look at is actually how many people they have delivered “impressive” results . It’s all about client results. Anyone can have one or two people with great results, however, my program have helped thousands of people to look amazing and I am just one of many success story. My name is Manasa, please take a look at my picture in their profile to see my results for yourself.

The menu items were personalized to fit our needs. We were able to watch Nicole prepare and cook several of the food choices and then we sampled everything. She provided details about what she cooks and the nutritional value of the items compared to other foods. The cooking lesson was a birthday for my boyfriend and his favorite part was making our own pizzas. In addition to the making pizzas to go (and who doesn't love pizza), we left with plenty of tasty leftovers from this fun experience.

Tina is a very hands on and relatable trainer. Our first session felt like meeting up with an old friend. We talk a lot so she has a great idea of what my goals are and she gets down on the ground with me. If you're looking for a trainer to stand over you and yell out numbers, then keep looking. If you're looking for someone who will not allow you to give up, is flexible, and truly cares about your overall health as well as your exercise, Tina is the perfect fit.

      Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How much does a nutritionist cost?

A nutritionist provides expertise and guidance to help clients with all diet-related health matters, including losing weight, gaining muscle, improving their sports performance, and managing diabetes or high cholesterol. Nutritionists can help people learn to follow special diets in a healthy way, such as becoming vegetarian or vegan or developing a low-sodium or gluten-free eating plan. The average national cost of a nutritionist is $60 to $100. Nutritionists often require an initial consultation with a new client, during which they’ll take a medical history, assess the client’s nutritional needs, and determine the best course of action; this first meeting usually averages $100-$120 for a 45-minute to 90-minute consultation. Subsequent nutritional counseling sessions generally cost less, ranging from an average of $45 for a half-hour session to $60-$90 for a one-hour session. Like many professional service providers, nutritionists may offer discounts through package pricing. For instance, a one-month package with two sessions and email support costs an average of $190; a three-month package with three sessions and email support costs an average of $360; and a six-month package with six sessions and email support costs an average of $540.

Are nutritionists covered by health insurance?

Nutrition counseling can be a critical component of good health care, especially for people recently diagnosed with diabetes or high cholesterol who need to adhere to a specific diet. People also meet with nutritionists for help developing a healthy vegetarian or vegan diet, developing an eating plan to lose weight or gain muscle, or improving their sports performance by changing their diet. Nutritionists may be covered by health insurance depending on your reason for meeting with them. Nutrition counseling is more likely to be covered if it is part of a doctor-prescribed treatment for a particular medical condition, such as diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure or coronary heart disease. For example, Medicare covers medical nutrition therapy services only for people diagnosed with diabetes or kidney disease, as long as they get a referral from their doctor. Also, insurance providers more often cover nutrition visits if the patient has been referred to a registered dietitian within the carrier’s network of providers. Insurance plans vary greatly, so research your benefits before visiting a nutritionist.
