When I was told my dog Sadie need surgery I was really worried about how I was going to take care of her after. I knew I could not take off of work. That is when I found out about Furry Family Comfort care. At first I was concerned about having someone I did not know come to my home. When I meet Stephanie I felt comfortable with here immediately. She was really professional and I just felt she was a really good person. Stephanie was really understanding with Sadie and her grumpy attitude and she won over Sadieâs trust right away. Not many people can do that with Sadie! When I began to worry about things that would come up, Stephanie calmed my fears and let me know that was normal after the surgery. I could not have got Sadie through that without Furry Family Comfort care!!! THANK YOU STEPHANIE!

Furry Family Comfort Care was referred to me by my veterinarian after my cat had a blockage in his urethra. Once at home he needed extra care which was hard with my family's busy life. I also needed reassurance his urination was normal and he was improving. Stephanie was absolutely wonderful, she consulted with my vet and then visited our house daily for a few days after until we felt comfortable he was getting better. She then updated our vet on his progress and spoke vet talk with him. She was a pleasure to work with and always treated our big boy cat as a member of the family. I can not thank her enough for giving us peace of mind during this time.

Stephanie is knowledgable, professional and full of compassion. She helped me with my dog Pepper and was a comfort to me in his final days. I wouldn't trust just anyone with my fur kids.

Stephanie has cared for multiple dogs that I have been very close to and always makes them(and myself) feel at ease no matter what the situation is. She is very knowledgeable and professional but keeps our check ups from being dark and scary with a friendly and genuinely caring attitude that shines through. I give a 9 out of 10 because my last dog Hank, only got 4 hugs, and not the 15 like he wanted. I always like the best for my dogs and Mrs. Martinez-Peres always provides just that!

As I veterinarian, I rely on Stephanie's knowledge, skills and compassion for my clients. She has worked with me on a few cases including checking on heartworm positive dogs undergoing treatment, helping owners with the unexpected birth of puppies in a shelter dog they adopted, chronic renal failure in a kitty (giving fluids and medications when owner could not), and many more. Would not hesitate to recommend her services!

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am required by the State of Georgia to do continuing education every couple of years, but also attend lectures and read journal articles to learn as much as possible. Veterinary medicine is always changing and progressing.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have always loved animals and have dedicated my life's work to them since 1999. I have a degree in veterinary technology and I am licensed through the state of Georgia. I have veterinary technicians and registered veterinary technicians helping provide services to fur babies in need.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I have a client that has a senior cat (Rudy) with lymphoma. She wants Rudy's last few months to be as comfortable as possible. Unfortunately this client lived a few hours away so I could not visit Rudy, but I was able to do a phone consultation and provide tips to make Rudy comfortable and eating well. Since our phone consult Rudy has been eating great and is much happier on a daily basis.
