I was to say thank you to Erica, Lisa, Katie, Chaplain Mike, Kim, Jeane, Scott, and Dr. DahlburgErica was the first nurse I met from Preferred and she was so fantastic. She made me feel at ease that I chose this company to care for my dad. Lisa, and Katie were phenomenal nurses that showed my dad the best care in their short time with him before his passing. They evaluated him, cleaned him, made him comfortable, and made sure he had the medication he needed to keep him pain free.Chaplain Mike came to visit and pray with us on what would be my dad's final day on earth. He was so kind, I appreciated the conversation we had and him praying with me and my dad.I had been at the nursing home overnight without sleep, so I had to run home and take a shower, get something to eat, pack a bag etc. Jeane, who was a sitter stayed with my dad, talked with him, played music he liked, etc. She also stayed with me until her shift was over. She was wonderful. She was relieved by Scott. Scott was very kind and was present when my dad passed away. He gave me a hug, asked me what I needed and played a beautiful song after my dad left us. Both sitters are doing God's work because they are so comforting and make a sad situation much more peaceful.Kim arrived after my dad had passed away. She was very kind and comforting. She explained everything they would be doing with his body before transporting him to the funeral home. I was pleased with her professionalism.Even after my dad passed, the whole team sent a sympathy card, as well as called to check on me. So, so, so kind. I would choose Preferred Hospice a million times over. Thank you to all for making our experience a little more peaceful. My dad left with dignity and grace."See more
