When I began planning my parents’ 50th Wedding Anniversary, I had a vision in my heart but absolutely no experience planning an event of this magnitude. I knew what I wanted my parents to feel, but I did not always know how to make it happen.
Katie did.
From the very beginning, she saw my vision, understood how deeply personal this celebration was to me, and stood beside me through every single step of the process. She gave me her experience, her knowledge, her patience, her professionalism, and most importantly, her genuine love and support.
This was never “just a party” to me.
My parents are 73 years old, and celebrating 50 years of their marriage meant honoring a lifetime of love, sacrifice, devotion, family, memories, and everything they built together. I wanted their love story to unfold before them in the most beautiful way possible.
Katie understood that from her heart.
She never treated me like just another client. She listened to me. She encouraged me. She reassured me when I questioned myself. She helped me see possibilities I never knew existed, and she elevated my vision to heights I could never have reached on my own.
Even though I had no background or expertise in event planning, Katie never made me feel incapable. She empowered me. She gave me confidence. She helped me trust my instincts while gently guiding me with the wisdom and experience only someone truly gifted at what they do can provide.
Her poise, patience, dedication, creativity, compassion, and attention to detail were extraordinary. But what I will remember most is the heart she brought into every part of this journey.
Katie became so much more than my event planner. She became someone I trusted and someone I leaned on, and someone who genuinely cared about helping me give my parents a celebration worthy of their incredible 50-year love story.
Watching everything finally come together was emotional beyond words. To see my vision become real, to watch my parents surrounded by love, and to know that Katie had helped me create something our family will remember forever is a gift I will never be able to fully repay.
Katie, thank you for believing in me when I had never done anything like this before. Thank you for believing in my vision. Thank you for your patience, your guidance, your kindness, your professionalism, your encouragement, and the countless ways you supported me from beginning to end.
You helped me give my mom and dad more than an anniversary celebration.
You helped me give them a living tribute to 50 years of their love.
For that, you will forever hold a very special place in my heart and in this chapter of our family’s story.
Anyone can plan an event. But it takes someone truly special to understand the heart behind it, protect the vision, support the person creating it, and help turn that love into something everyone in the room can actually feel.
