FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
It's really not complicated. There are three choices, percentage of spend, hourly or flat fee. Some clients like to pay each vendor as we go along, some prefer to pay 50% up front and have me handle the money, some want to handle it all and pay me for my services at an hourly rate. Flexibility is key (for me). I also pass industry discounts along to my clients so my fee and all expenses are totally transparent!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We'll talk budget. Communication of your budget is so important, don't be afraid it's too small or you don't even know what figure to choose, be honest! A good planner can tell you whether you're on the right track or not. We also know how to stretch a budget, believe me when I tell you that there are ways to work the budget so that it works for you!!!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a certificate in Event Planning from Emory University. My membership and participation in the International Special Event Society provides its members with professional learning and teaching opportunities. I'm constantly reading industry publications and network with vendors and other planners to keep up with current trends.
