Endorsement Video: https://1drv.ms/v/s!Ank07NYRpE1kpw_QAKWEQbRWNdxY What kind of web developer would you need if you generate 1200+ videos per month stored on 3 third-party platforms (i.e., YouTube, Vimeo, and Microsoft OneDrive), real-time trending social and Google article searches specific to 43+ topics, podcasts, white papers, live event streaming, and translate into 143 languages? Bobby is my “go-to” computer expert for my business for over four years now. His help and assistance have been invaluable to me in the areas: 1) Website development (multiple sites) 2) Information retrieval of important content from crashed hard drive 3) System backup 4) Timely Computer repair 5) Built custom computer specifically to handle video editing processing requirements for a savings of at least 30% off retail with more capacity! 6) Timely consulting for computer application, questions, problems and recommendations that arise in business. He consistently over-delivers value in relationship to my cost for services which is important to my success. I am glad to have Bobby as both an expert computer business resource and a friend. I encourage you to add Bobby to be a strategic computer expert for your business also. Larry Webb, Ph.D. Life Development Group Duluth, GA

specifically, Dave Carlson knows his stuff! I first used him with my ministry, www.youmatter.com and he completely re-designed my website and improved the image of my ministry on line. We were so happy, I used him again to design my e-commerce website for a distribution company I was launching. Another home run with this company. www.clearchoicedistributing.com and then, and most recently I have had him work with me on my present company website. www.familybankforme.com and I am so happy with his work I was more than willing to leave a review/comment about his services. He has helped me with relevancy, so my site is up to date technology wise. He has helped me design business cards so my image flows thoroughly thru everything that is done. He is imaginative, and focused and still manages to listen to and incorporate what I envision happening. If you are looking for website design, business card design, Corporate image improvement or even web hosting I strongly reccomend Dave Carlson and DIstinct Design Company. There really is not a better service available in the entire industry.

They are knowledgeable and professional, but most of all, they worked extremely hard to satisfy our unique needs. I strongly recommend Conflair for anyone looking to develop custom web-based, pc-based or mobile applications. A truly extraordinary company.

    About

I use image, typeface and space to create context and emotional connections. My focus is on contrast and reduction in all aspects of my design, no unnecessary decorations, as this can make the design appear forced. The theory behind my style and aesthetic design is to utilize as little as possible in an effort to communicate as concisely and quickly possible with whom the client is trying to reach. I maintain a clear set of boundaries in my style so that I am focused in what the client wants to produce; this way of working avoids distractions and decorations. My greatest challenge in design is focused around asking myself what kind of boundaries I should use and why. Boundaries not only determine results, but also your identity. One has to be comfortable in the group that they fit in, as this is the only way to express themselves genuinely through image. Being a part of the group allows you to emotionally connect and empathize with your audience. Most of the time, when people don't get triggered by reduced design it's because of the lack of imagination, or the design is really not addressing their imagination at all (in which case you could say that it is a bad design). I find that people who have a clear sense of imagination best appreciate my work. Overloaded and mass-produced designs can be both boring and distracting, while reduced and minimal design has the ability to cut to the chase and give it a decided commercial edge. My aesthetic and design theory is defined as being, "not when there is nothing more to add, but when there's nothing left to take away". - Antonio F. Lewis

    About

For The Art Designs was founded by me, Christian Janson, as an outlet for my creative passion and over 10 years of career in marketing. As a creative director, I have honed my ability to partner with businesses to build their brands and to develop deeper connections with their target consumers. In addition to my visual and graphic design skills, I have deep experience in entertainment and event marketing. Much of this comes from my years working with Steve Harvey as he grew from a regional radio/TV personality to become the national superstar that he is today. In my role, I had the opportunity to work directly with the brand groups from some of America's top consumer products companies to develop together targeted advertising, promotions and events. These clients included Ford, Coca-Cola, State Farm, General Mills and The Home Depot to name a few. Delivering results for my corporate partners was my job. Today, the only difference is that I am now driving those results for my small business partners. My clients benefit from my expertise, as well as that of the marketing communications professionals that round out my team. My wife and I are blessed with three amazing children. My family is a source of daily inspiration. Giving back to others is important to me, which is why I spend time each week volunteering in the community. Music is another passion of mine. Born into a musical family, I enjoy writing and performing regularly. Some of my original music has been used on national cable television shows. Whether it's used for business or pleasure, music is simply another tool for creative expression. I believe in the power of personal connections as much as I believe in the power of small businesses. Take a look at my portfolio and what I have to offer. Then, I hope you will contact For The Art Designs, so that I can partner with you to shape your brand and build your business.

    Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

How do I find a good app developer?

A good app developer can help you if your company wants to build a new mobile app for customers but you don’t have an IT or development team on staff. First, decide whether you want an app made for the iPhone or Android phones or both, then start your search by finding an app developer with expertise in your chosen platform. Ask for samples of their work, such as code samples, that can be tested on open source repository sites like GitLab and GitHub. You can also interview firms that specialize in mobile app development for small companies or startups; they should be able to offer examples of different types of apps they’ve built, and are likely to have expertise in a range of technologies and platforms. Before you sign a contract, make sure to ask prospective app developers these questions:

    • What other apps have you developed? Make sure the apps in their portfolio reflect the type of work you want to have done for your company. It’s especially helpful if they understand your industry.
    • What technology and development services do you offer? Ideally, an app developer will conduct a business analysis, develop the app, perform quality testing and make sure the launch is successful.

Will you maintain the app after it’s launched? Releasing an app is only the beginning. You’ll need someone to maintain it too, releasing updates and fixing bugs.

How much does it cost to hire an app developer?

Software development is a serious investment for any company, costing thousands of dollars for even basic apps. It’s tough to estimate costs because there are so many variables to each project: user requirements, feature set, complexity, size, etc. Mobile apps can cost from $20,000 to more than $100,000, depending on what you need the app to do. The average national cost of an app developer is $237.50 per hour, but prices vary widely depending on location, type of app, features, and much, much more.

To get a sense of what hiring an app developer might cost, decide first what kind of software you need. In general, app developers charge hourly fees based on the language they’ll use to code the software. Freelancers cost less than large software development firms, typically charging an average of:

    • Basic C development: $75-$150 per hour.
    • Front-end web development: $50-$75 per hour.
    • Back-end web development: $75-$150 per hour.
    • API development: $75-$150 per hour.
    • Desktop app development: $30-$100 per hour.
    • Mobile app development: $30-$150 per hour.

Larger software vendors charge much more, often as much as $300 to $400 per hour.

    Who builds apps?

Apps are usually built by software developers who specialize in mobile software. They may be experts in just one mobile software development language or know several, and may have expertise in front-end or back-end web development. No matter what kind of phone or tablet you carry, there are hundreds of apps for it — and new ones seem to be added to the app stores every day. Before you hire an app developer, it’s important to have specific goals for your app and a clear idea of its purpose. When your company is ready to build an app, you can hire a freelance app developer or work with an app development company that can also support the app after it’s launched. It’s important to know whether you’ll need the developer to provide ongoing maintenance and support or if your internal IT team can maintain it after its launch.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
