Introduction: I specialize in group lessons and private chef duties. My expertise is broad but my forte is creole and Cajun food. We also cater Gumbo,etouffes and jambalaya. Now I am a private chef, but I also owned a cafe/deli in Auckland New Zealand, prepared special macrobiotic meals and gourmet family fare for several families in New Orleans. I grew up in bayou country and New Orleans, so I know the authentic secrets of a successful menu and event planning. I have always researched and written my own menus and advertisements. I graduated from Denver University with a High School teaching certificate and a BA degree. I used my talents as a teacher and a chef to hold seminars in the clients' homes. I demonstrated all of the techniques and preparation of requested menus such as Gumbo Ya Ya, Seafood gumbo with shrimp, crab meat and oysters. I brought my equipment to clients' homes and made sure their kitchen and dining areas were spotless and clean before I left their house. I found the best method of finding clients was by donating seminars to charity auction bidders which in turn created word-of-mouth referrals. Sometimes we would divide the meal preparation and social gathering over two or three evening sessions; each day at a different home. Everyone agrees that my food, seminar and parties are "c'est bon!". I am proud to say that no one complains. They all lavish compliments and praise. My students and I, all lets the good times roll! I also use my creativity to complement my cooking and teaching skills!
