Atlanta Sewing Academy
About this pro
I use a curriculum specifically designed to build skills. I include factory sewing techniques to allow the student to obtain great results effectively and efficiently. I teach pattern theory to allow the students to evaluate commercial patterns for fit and technical functionality before cutting. My objective is to provide those who want to learn to sew with useful information about sewing apparel. My instruction includes much information and practices that provide consistently great results.
So far, we've only had one class. It's fast-paced, but I feel like I'm learning a lot. I'm optimistic that I'll be able to sew garments fairly soon.Mar 19, 2015Verified

- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I attend classes with industry leaders multiple times every year. I just completed a workshop with a major designer for Vogue patterns. I attend industry conferences every year.
- What types of customers have you worked with?I use a curriculum designed to build sewing skills from beginner to advanced. Most commonly I assist intermediate to advance sewing students with fitting and using the fitting to draft other patterns and sew other apparel. I have also fitted individuals with scoliosis and assisted with drafting their patterns. This allows them to obtain garments that are comfortable and accommodating to their various physical aspects.
