Carli catered my 30th birthday party and I could not imagine a better chef for the job or a more seamless experience. She was intentional in her communication and showed up to our consultation with the perfect blend of preparedness and adaptability. She had a strong sense of what she wanted to bring to the table (literally) but also was so collaborative and genuinely cared about my vision and hope for my birthday banquet. She gave me options and helped me fine tune what I was looking for- guiding me towards a menu that perfectly encapsulated what I was looking for but didnt know how to convey. She is a food whisperer! Carli was professional but not overly serious- it is so clear that she deeply loves her job and her joy and passion for her work is infectious. There was clear communication throughout and she exceeded my expectations. While she did a lot of prep at home, she also cooked and utilized the kitchen of the space I threw the party at, and it felt seamless. She was cheerful, hard-working, CLEAN, and thorough, and it never felt uncomfortable to share a space with her- in fact, I wanted her to be done cooking so she could join in on the celebrations!My birthday was a beautiful event, and it was made possible by Carlis care, intention, and talent in the kitchen. Did I forget to mention her food tasted SPECTACULAR?! This is someone who has a real intuition in the kitchen. She follows her gut and executes special recipes that I believe could only come from her mind. So much flavor, color, and- most importantly- sustenance. This is someone who believes in the purity of food and knows how to showcase it without unnecessary bells and whistles, all the while presenting gorgeous dishes that actually filled us all up- she made cooking for a group of 22 people appear effortless!Ive attached photos from the event photographer that feature Carlis amazing contribution to my special celebration. They really capture her talent and exuberance as a chef in ways words cant. In conclusion, I could not recommend Chef Carli more. Her rates are incredibly reasonable (especially given the finished product), she is amiable and incredibly easy to work with, and she possesses a humility and understanding of food that unfortunately many in the culinary world seem to be lacking in.10 stars, already looking forward for the next event I can hire Chef Carli for!
