I had never taken voice lessons prior to Craig's. When I first met Craig, I told him that I wanted to be a better singer, but I was not sure of which part of what I was supposed to be improving on to be a better singer. After the first session with him, I was sure that he could help me improve my singing because he let me understand and let me see what I was doing wrong while I was singing. Each lesson, I could sing better, and I could project my voice better. I also participated in his recital and it was fun and was a great experience for me. Now, I feel that I can control my voice waaaay better than before (although I still have to work on it). It is worth your time if you are thinking of taking a voice training lesson. I love the fact that it's fun and he lets you sing the songs you like :)

I went to Shimizu Voice Studio to just gain confidence at business karaoke outings. Craig Shimizu will push you beyond even what you think you are capable of. The confidence gained has helped every aspect of my life. He will not accept negative thoughts and will immediately call you on it and will play a happy song for you to sing which immediately lifts you up! Music and singing and Craig can surely lift your spirit and soul!

As soon as I had entered his studio Craig had put me at ease making it very easy to talk to him. The importance of proper breathing and how to accomplish that was most helpful. All of my questions were answered. Can't wait for my next session.

A student should be able to improve their singing from the first lesson and continue to improve with each subsequent lesson. The more correct your vocal technique is the more comfortable you feel singing.
