Describe the job:
I originally contacted the DeWild Construction Company through Angieâs List late last fall to replace my roof due to an unexpected leak. I had several companies come out to place a bid on the job but it was Lyle that impressed me the most. He was extremely professional and confident he could get the job done before the weather turned colder. In fact, the day after the roof was put on the weather turned cold.
Lyle explained the job and materials in layman terms and gave me brochures to go over and had a wide selection of shingles and colors/designs to choose from the Owens Corning. He asked me my concerns and we discussed cleanup and service after the job. For cleanup they lay tarp down over the surrounding area of the house and only ask that you mow before they come over to help assist with the cleanup and have a magnetic roller that picks up the nails from the yard and driveway. His crew did a great job taking care of this important detail as I have kids and a dog. Lyle and his crew even roofed the shed so that it matched. As far as service after the job, since it was so late last fall when he replaced the roof, Lyle has personally been here this spring on the roof to inspect it to make sure everything laid down okay and he stays in contact with me periodically. Heâs been very dependable, reliable and I always feel he is just a phone call away. I would strongly recommend him to my friends and neighbors.
Iâve been so impressed with Lyleâs work ethic and his prices have been so reasonable I had him install insulation in my attic. Lyle explained my older home (built in 1992) likely doesnât meet the new insulation codes set in in 2004(?) of R49. He was right. I was only R24. He told me about the MidAmerican rebate that saved me hundreds of dollars and he brought it up to code. I would have not known this had Lyle not said something. Now we are enjoying the savings and comfort it brings.
Above and Beyond:
After Lyleâs crew installed the roof I noticed one of my gates had come out of alignment and wasnât shutting or opening as easily as it had before. I brought this to Lyleâs attention thinking it would just need realigning. Lyle went above and beyond the call of duty when he hired a gate company to repair the gate. I believe he had one of the poles replaced altogether. Lyle did so much more than I expected to repair the gate to make it right. He does treat you like a family member.

Lyle gave us a prompt quote on our roof & gutters. He has excellent follow thru & made us feel comfortable thru the entire process. The job took 2-3 days as he promised. My husband and I were both very impressed by Lyle's quick follow thru & carefulness. The job turned out great & we are very happy. I hired DeWild Construction to replace my roof and add on to my deck. Lyle was the 3rd contractor that came out to look at the job. He not only was the most professional but he got his bid back to us the quickest. He always followed up with us and was great to work with. The crews for both projects did a great job. My roof had a leak around a vent boot and was seeping in around the bathroom fan vent. Lyle came out to assess it within 24 hours of emailing. His crew made a special effort to come out after hours to fix it because rain was coming that evening. That is a big deal to me. They had it fixed in an hour and did a check of the rest of the vents. Dewild Construction Company was a pleasure to work with; I had Lyle and his crew replace the shingles on my roof. He checked on his crew regularly to make sure they were completing tasks in a timely matter. I was impressed with his thoroughness and responsiveness.
