Why learn with me? Because I care, and because I have so much to offer. Custom Lesson Plans Recordings of your lessons E-Practice folder (diagrams, audio/video, exercises, etc.) Basics and Foundations Technique/Skill  Advanced Theory Fretboard Navigation Songwriting Recording Methods Equipment/Gear knowledge Continuous Student Support When I take on a new student I create a custom lesson plan tailored to you and your needs using a methodology I’ve developed over the years. Not only that, but I offer so much more outside of the lesson itself! Sadly I still hear stories of musicians being frustrated with progress or feeling discouraged to continue. Whether you’re just starting out, or you’re looking to break that plateau I am here to help!  HOW TO GET STARTED: Shoot me a message and we’ll set up a time to talk about your goals and answer any questions you have. Generally a 10m conversation helps us figure out the best steps to take! I’m quick to respond and I’m generally available to talk!  I look forward to hearing from you!See more

I hold a doctoral degree in Guitar Performance from the University of Minnesota (USA). I am a passionate educator with over 10 years of university-level teaching experience. My college-level guitar textbook is currently used by Duke University and the University of Minnesota Twin Cities (USA). My students have won numerous first prizes at international competitions and have recorded performances for leading online classical guitar platforms, including Siccas Guitars. I offer in-person and online CLASSICAL GUITAR lessons. Although I implement the classical guitar approach in my teaching, all my students learn how to play a variety of popular styles. I have won numerous prizes at classical guitar competitions, including First Prize at the 2018 Hong Kong Altamira International Guitar Competition. As a performer, educator, and researcher, I have presented concerts, masterclasses, and lectures throughout Australia, China, Europe, and North and Latin America. Two of my original research papers have been published in the Guitar Foundation of America's Soundboard journal. Since 2024, I started investing most of my time into composing classical music and creating educational materials. My time for teaching students is limited, and I prefer to keep only the most devoted ones. If you would like to get in touch, contact me to check the available time slots. I am looking forward to connecting! MomaSee more

About Me: I have been performing as a professional jazz musician and teaching guitar for the past 17 years (and have been playing for the past 29 years). I'm a very dedicated teacher and have a clear and thorough way of teaching jazz improvisation (among many other styles) as well as accompaniment, theory, reading, and many other aspects of playing music. For me, improvised music is what I am most interested in and passionate about. In my lessons, instead of focusing only on scales, modes, arpeggios, etc., I also focus on training students to play what they hear - and to channel music that is true to them. I love using recordings and transcriptions (learning solos of jazz masters) to help students develop a sense of jazz language, so they can "speak" in an informed, intelligent, and musical way. We can also discuss various possible challenges to expressing creativity, and how to work through them. As I continue to work on my own inner connection - being able to hear what I play and stay in the flow state - I love sharing what I continually learn with students. Lesson topics include: Improvisation Transcriptions/Jazz vocabulary Learning jazz tunes/standards Rhythm/Time Scales and Modes Theory Advanced jazz chords and chord melodies Voice leading techniques Bossa Nova/Latin jazz Blues Reading Composition Performance anxiety/nerves Breathing exercises for playing Life lessons we can learn from music Lots more! Please reach out if you have any questions. Looking forward to working with you!See more

I have fifteen years of experience teaching guitar and offer options to suit any learning style, ranging from standard one-on-one lessons, to more flexible coaching options. I love music and I love the guitar. All kinds, from blue grass to electric blues to free jazz. I studied jazz and classical guitar in college and performed in masterclasses for numerous world-class concert guitarists, including Ana Vidovic, Manuel Barrueco, and Andrew York. Following graduation, I moved to New York City, where I worked as a gigging jazz guitarist and studied with musicians like Peter Bernstein and Brad Shepik. Teaching students to make the music they love is one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done. I’m also very good at it. I've studied guitar pedagogy and been teaching private students, classrooms, and music store guitar studios since I was in high school. I love helping people do something they're proud of ... helping them use the guitar to explore their interests in more depth than they thought possible... helping them explore new and exciting music. I am located in Virginia and teach on Zoom. For all my students, I put in extra time to ensure that I’m available to answer any questions they might have during the week. I offer 30-minute, 45-minute, and 1-hour lessons. The first two weeks, are week-to-week, after which I book lessons monthly. For students interested in more flexibility, I offer a $20 weekly rate for remote coaching. That includes access by email and messaging, two video responses, and pdf materials each week, personalized for each student’s needs. Please reach out!See more
