About
Hello! My name is Wade Johnson
I have been in the Tile Industry for over 30 years. I moved to Idaho
from Southern California in 2018 and brought my love, quality and
knowledge of tile installation with me. I attended every tile workshop
locally and out of state that I can to keep up with the always changing
and evolving industry.
Although I am certified in many of the newer light weight substrates and waterproofing methods for wet areas I choose to do traditional mortar
installations giving my customers a perfect installation that will last a
lifetime.
I take a lot of pride in what I do. I always tell my customers if I wouldn't do it in my house I won't do it in yours. If I don't do it right the first time and have to go back and fix something how am I going to make money and how am I going to have a customer that will refer me to friends and family?
I like when I get to help in the design of the project.
I like taking something old and outdated and making it new again!
Most important is the smile on a customers face and when they say
"I love it!"

Folks, I hardly write any reviews as I am an extremely busy person, but I honestly felt obligated to do it in this instance. Wade Johnson did floor, bathroom, and brick Wall work at my residence that involved large 8"x48" Walker Zanger and 24"x36" Porcelanosa tiles that only an expert could install. I'm an extremely picky engineer myself, and look for perfection ! Without any hesitation, I can tell you to stop looking and hire Wade if you can get him. His knowledge, expertise, punctuality and professionalism is unsurpassed. He went out of his way and purchased a very expensive leveling tool set to ensure that the large tiles where aligned without any lipping (I honestly don't think he made any profit on the job after I priced this new tech tool set). He Red Guarded my bathroom walls before installing the tiles to ensure that my shower/steam bath is 100% waterproof. He was annoyingly on time everyday and did work above and beyond what he had to do. He does not just supervise, he is on the ground on his knees doing the work himself. The guy is an honest man, a craftsman, and that is a rarity these days. His prices are very reasonable too. I settled on Wade after interviewing 7 tile setters, I told you I'm picky. So ! there you have it, the research is done for you, hopefully he can fit you in his schedule.

I had a leak under my tile shower and plumber had to dig up my tile shower to fix leak. I was very pleased with absolute tile. Wade returned my original call and came over to give me an estimate. His men were polite and did a neat job

Wade and his team at Absolute Tile and Stone did an amazing job on our tumbled marble kitchen back splash. He and his assistant arrived ON TIME. Wade explained everything to me. I had a clear idea of what was going to happen and why. He was kind and respectful of all my questions. Please know that I am kinda picky- as in I hand picked every stone in my back splash. Wade was really great about it--even when I asked him to replace some stones that he had already placed. He was very respectful of my space. He left my kitchen clean. His price is fair especially for the quality of work he does. Wade is a true pro. I had a lot of people working on my kitchen- I wish they all shared Wade's work ethic.

I hired Wade to retile my bathroom shower walls. I'll start from the beginning....he called me back quickly, his quote was fair, he showed up on time, he cleaned up everyday, he took pride in his work, he made sure I was happy with the layout design, the tile came out awesome! He was friendly and trustworthy...I had no concerns not being home the entire time. All around, I had a great experience and would rehire him again.

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am not the cheapest but I am one of the best! 😉😊
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in the tile trade and only the tile trade for over 30 years. I have been to many workshops and continue to attend works shops every chance I get.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I became a dad at a very young age and needed to find a job Asap! I opened the paper to the classifieds (back when people used the newspaper to look for jobs)
I came upon a job in the Union for Tile Setters helpers and was hired along with 40 other helpers (this was the beginning of the housing boom) out of the 40 2 of us made it. I saw the potential of this being a good career all the tile setter where driving new trucks and seemed to love what they do.The union was a great place to start I worked hard the raises came quick I went from $6.25 a hr to $17.00hr in no time pretty good money for a kid in his 20's! After 4 years with the Union and free training I moved on to the largest tile company in Ventura County and became a tile setter after another 4 years with this company and doing tract work day in and day out and doing the hurry get it done type work I had enough and ventured out on my own so could start doing quality work not quantity. To me tile is art not just a job!
