Best Home Buying Experience Ever!
I want to take this opportunity, having just recently completed the process of closing and taking possession of the home we bought with Mr. Stewart's able assistance, to provide you with the benefit of my experiences with Jeff Stewart and his company, Stewart Realty LLC. I have bought and sold half a dozen homes over the course of twenty five years of homeownership (in every geographical region of the United States, with the exception the southwest) and I have dealt with a number of real estate agents, not all of whom left me with a feeling that I had received the very best customer service that could have been afforded me. Let me tell you about my experiences with Stewart Realty LLC.
Jeff actually started "working" for me and my family about a year ago (i.e., late summer of 2012), when it became clear to us that a permanent relocation to Boise, Idaho was imminent. I stumbled upon the Stewart Realty LLC website quite by chance, and found it immediately convenient for our purpose at that time, which was to "scope out" the areas of commercial and residential development in and about the Boise locale in the interest of establishing what familiarity we could, prior to our first visit (in the flesh) to the Treasure Valley (where Boise and its satellite communities are located). Honestly, I expected to be inundated with phone calls and electronic messages geared toward hurrying my wife and me into making a decision to purchase a home RIGHT NOW! To my surprise and great relief, that didn't happen. Instead, Mr. Stewart contacted me and sought only to find out what it was we needed and wanted from a Realtor at that time. He provided us with some straightforward information, unaccompanied by any of the high pressure real estate tactics we, consumers, have grown to expect and to dislike. To be specific, he set up a method of communicating information to us regarding the kinds of properties we were mostly interested in purchasing and in the areas and price ranges which we considered to be suitable) at that time. I was very impressed that Jeff never tried to persuade us to purchase a home in any particular area (or community or development, et al), but he did make every effort to assist us with detailed information based on the questions we had for him and not based on his own agenda for "what he wanted us to do". My wife and I never felt that Jeff was trying to talk us into doing or considering something we had not initially expressed interest in. For several months, he provided us with automated updates pertaining to the Boise area real estate market, including trend information, new listings (again, within our pre-determined parameter limits). From time to time, Jeff did inform us of the trends occurring in the Boise real estate market, and he did tell us that interest rates and home prices were steadily on the rise. He encouraged us to consider these facts, as they were indices of market conditions that were trending unfavorably from the perspective of the would-be home buyer. Given the potential magnitude of impact on our availability of choice (and other considerations), we regarded his urgency of communications related to the subject as timely and pertinent, and not as a means to apply pressure on us to come to our decision sooner, rather than later.
When we decided to rent an apartment upon arrival in Boise, Jeff contacted some people he knew and got us set up in an apartment complex close to the BSU campus and the Boise downtown area. This worked well for us, as we were able to establish a month-by-month rental situation with one of the nicer apartment complexes in the Parkcenter area. Jeff did not gain from the arrangement at all, other than to have secured our loyalty as his customers more solidly than had already been established.
Jeff had already been providing his assistance to us for about 8 or 9 months before we ever began the process of viewing homes with interest in purchasing a new residence of our own. Jeff's knowledge of contractor methodologies, construction materials, industry insider information (i.e., things that would be known to those who design and build new homes and major renovations) soon showed itself to be an enormous advantage to our favor, as he is well versed in the good and the bad, and the pros and cons of construction materials and techniques used in roofing, siding, plumbing, additions and renovations (et al). Jeff applied his knowledge time and again during our home search project, and was able to provide information about the properties we were investigating well beyond what might be expected from the typical real estate agent. Jeff made it very clear to us that his commitment to our customer satisfaction was of much greater concern to him that simply pocketing a commission the quickest and easiest way possible.
Jeff is a real estate industry professional who demonstrates tremendous personal integrity and strong, respectable character. He is both meticulous and honest, and doesn't hesitate to voice his thoughts, favorable or unfavorable, having to do with any aspect of a house and property under consideration for a possible offer to purchase. Today, with our real estate search over and our new home now our legal charge, we have no recommendations to feed back to Jeff regarding how he might improve his methods. We have never before been guided so carefully and with such great concern for our overall happiness and satisfaction as that which we enjoyed as clients of Jeff Stewart and his company, Stewart Realty, LLC.
