FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We give a 10% off early bird pricing. And we give our customers a 2 year written, contractual, guarantee on our work.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Usually, when I receive a call, I answer or call back as soon as I see it. If it’s after hours, I usually text to set up a good time for a call. On the call we talk through the project as much as possible, then I explain my estimating process, then I schedule the estimate. When I come for the estimate, I start by talking through the project with the customer (about 15 minutes), then measure everything, then go out to my truck to write up a detailed quote. The quote is precise and attempts to leave nothing ambiguous. When it’s ready, I go inside, we sit down at the kitchen table (or a table somewhere) and I go over the estimate with the customer and see if they want to do it. If they decide they want to go ahead with it, i take a 25% deposit and get it on the schedule that day (with a window, subject some to rain and such).
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I’ve been doing contracting my whole life.
