- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am smart enough to know that I need to know more. I am constantly seeking out education within the field. Whether it is reading reviewing scientific journals, listening webinars, reading, getting another certification or going to a seminar I try to stay on the cutting edge of the field. I am also a provider of continuing education for other trainers, a role that challenges me to offer the latest and greatest information.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?Ask what they do to better themselves, so that they can ultimately better you. You want a trainer that isn't going through the motions and is constantly seeking out knowledge and honing their craft so that they can make sure they are providing the client with the best possible results.
- What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?Every person reacts differently to different training stimulus. What works for one will not always work for another. Between that concept and allowing for proper progression of exercises training a new client in the beginning will be what seems to be a "slow" process. Just be patient and remember it is better to leave a workout with room to increase intensity the next time than to leave injured because you were worked too hard.
