Introduction: Learning guitar is tough to start and even tougher to master but, anyone can learn to play their favorite songs and write their own music with practice and a little guidance. Where you decide to go from there will be up to you but, I can get you up and running.

Elizabeth E.

Dylan is extremely knowledgeable about the guitar, and music in general. He easily explains how to relax with the guitar, so that learning chords and songs is fun and enjoyable. Dylan is an excellent teacher both for children who are new to the guitar, as well as adults who find the instrument a little intimidating.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I typically focus on getting new students to learn to treat their guitar as an extension of their body. I feel that a student is more likely to practice and stick with the instrument if they are able to make the act of playing into something that feels like a natural (and preferably fun) part of their lives rather than an anxiety inducing event that they have to work themselves up to doing.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

17 years of teaching myself to play with books, magazines, and videos I found online.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I helped a few friends get started in their guitar playing because I wanted more people to play music with.
